That would be pretty neat. It would be pretty hard to audition though. Thinking of all the schools in a 100 mile radius of just Hattiesburg there would be close to 30 schools. If you added north of Jackson and all of Alabama to that.....WOW

Rumor has it that Illinois and Tennessee are competing at Opelika this year in the all-state division.

That would be pretty sweet though if states formed an "All-Star" show choir and competed against other states. I think Mississippi and Alabama would be pretty competitive with the rest of the country if you really think about it.

Hey, sorry it says Texas.........I just copy them as I see them.

Actually, I think the name of the school is Bumpus High School. I believe they were suppose to come last year and then something happened and the could not make it. Looking at the Middle School Division there is a Bumpus Middle School coming and there is a Bumpus High School as well.

But until we discover who it actually is I guess it's Texas.

I guess I'll take the honors of the first predictions of the year:

SMALL MIXED DIVISION
Grand Champion: Purvis
1st Runner-Up: Lumberton
2nd Runner-Up: Columbia

WOMEN'S DIVISION
Grand Champion: Petal
1st Runner-Up: Homewood
2nd Runner-Up: West Jones

MEDIUM MIXED DIVISION
Grand Champion: West Jones
1st Runner-Up: Northeast Jones
2nd Runner-Up: Picayune
(though I wanted to put the state of Texas in there some where since they're apparently competing)

LARGE MIXED DIVISION
Grand Champion: Petal
1st Runner-Up: Homewood
2nd Runner-Up: Albertville
(I think Petal wins it... but between Homewood and A*Vegas there's no telling)

Most definitely. I believe they are a little behind schedule with the renovations, but should be done well ahead of competition time.

I hear that JCJC is doing a major renovation. That should be a plus for holding the competition. I am assuming that all work will be finished before the competition.
