Yes im with gautier high. So you seen us?? Well I hope we dont lose to pascagoula every competition.

Yes i saw every choir that performed yesterday. My choir was the first show of the day. We were at the school at freakin seven in the morning lol... and it definately showed that yall were better than last year, but have you seen Pascagoula's show, freakin amazing.no offense, but it is going to be very very difficult to beat them.

and... I was at North Forest's Showcase and they have a pretty amazing show too. Yesterday they were short a few people and their first soloist, one of their best, had a broken leg and was only able to perform two two songs. They had to improvise. I am sure in the competitions to come they too will be hard to beat

I had a great time at South Jones. Congratulations to everyone. I saw some great shows yesterday.

Pascagoula was going into the warm-up room as we were going out, and they were very friendly. I hate that I didn't get to see their show.

I liked those bright outfits that Petal had. My favorite song they did was "Let Yourself Go". Great job!

Thank you, South Jones for treating us so nice. And I must say that the poster yall made for our homeroom door was freakin awesome and it will be proudly displayed in our choir room.

I just want to say thanks to South Jones...Mr. McKenzie,Company, Infusion, faculty, parents, alum, and the JCJC music department. TTheir invitational is one of the most organized competitions that I bring my groups to.

To all the participating groups and directors that attended, I would like to say that seeing the politness of all your students while groups performing is really refreshing. I have been to many competitons and seen and heard some horrible things. Everyone had great behavior!

All groups that performed, because I saw them all due to the fact that I was there at 7:00am, everyone did great. The first competition of the season is always a little off. Don't be discouraged by results this early in the season. We all still have several places to compete and to take home the 1st. Keep up the hard work and I can't wait to see some of you again!

I have a few things to say.

South Jones is an extremely well organinzed competitions. All of the personell were extremely nice, and helpful.

1. Petal did an amazing job. Hands down. I saw the show at thier dinner theatre, and honestly had my doubts. They but on a very nice performance. I loved the second number. It sort of had a feel of '04's Man On Mulberry Street.

2. Albertville was impressive. The show definitely had a different feel to it that previous shows. I just wish you all would have done more of Grand Illusion. The last section was really, layered. Nonetheless enjoyable.

3. West had an extremely nice pit sound. And those pink dresses were AMAZING.

4. Homewood, dear Homewood, it's just not fair at times I say. I enjoyed the show. Extremely. Those gold dresses were amazing! I'm sure that you all will dispel any assumptions made of you all yesterday. Postive. You all have an amazing show. Simply amazing.

I'll stop there. I'm trying this new nice thing.

Pascagoula takes home the early surprise award.... I'm very surprised that they beat Albertville and Homewood, so a VERY BIG congrats to them. Heck... I didn't even know they were competing at this comp? They weren't on the original schedule posted earlier in this thread.

Thanks! Congratulations to all the other groups that placed. Everyone did a FANTASTIC job yesterday. Yesterday was a GREAT day and I had so much fun. I was VERY tired lastnight when we got in, but like I said, GREAT job to ALL the groups yesterday!

Both of our shows had some problems in it, especially the prelims performance.

South Jones you ran your competition very well. Y'all were the most supporting group of people: children, parents and alumni. Not to mention your show was pretty much amazing and I can not wait to see it again.

I have only two comments about show choir in the South this year:

Good Choreography does not equal most cymbal crashes in one show.

Difficulty of music is no longer existent considering almost everyone sang unision 3/4's of their show.

I think what made Albertville even more amazing was that no one knew there show. We kept calling it the "mystery show" all night because even in the programs the songs weren't listed... i liked that..

And Homewood kept me smilin the whole time. freakin awsome show, im excited to see them again, because you could tell that last night they just didn't fully have it together.

Its going to be great to see how Pascagoula and Spain Park match up this year.. now that is going to be a freakin close competition.
