No matter how the results pan out, everyone attending this event is going to bring thier "A game" and fight for the top spots. This is going to be an extremely close competition and the best choirs will prevail. Let's all just enjoy it before the blood bath starts!

It's going to be like the Hunger Games of the show choir world. Only one victor can be crowned out of a large amount of fantastic groups! Unless of course they pull the old nightlock trick and tie

I doubt that Center Grove will ever miss a finals at any time during the next thousand years.

Especially with the year they are having.

I'm starting to get confused about all of the down voting. I've never been down voted for posting predictions before. I understand the confusion about my not having included center grove in my original predictions. I can't see the list of attending choirs while I am making a post on my phone. But even after apologizing for my accidental omission of that group, that post continues to get down voted. It sort of puts a damper on my wanting to join in on conversation about something that I really enjoy discussing with other people of similar mind.

Like I've been saying, this will be one of the closest competitions ever just because of how many top notch groups we have. My current point spread with the five groups I've seen is 2 points total, so judge preference could play a little bit of a role because of how deep the competition is. With my five groups, it's 1st at 339, 2nd-4th at 338 (broken with vocal scores of 149, 148, and 146), and 5th at 337 (this is out of 350).

Wow! That is so incredibly close. This will definitely be a good one. Judge preferences are a big thing though. We will just have to try to appeal to them as much as possible!

Then again, when i watch the videos of those two and look at their records, I could see hastings taking 1st ru with no captions or maybe Band and cg getting gc and vocals and maybe Glenwood close behind those two with choreography. That is how I think it might go but I WANT it to go the way I said before. Haha. 😉

Hastings is PHENOMENAL this year. Also, I looked at those Center Grove videos and have them up by a single point, with Hastings getting Vocals and Center Grove getting Choreography. (Note: the only groups I have "judged" are Center Grove, Hastings, Homewood, Buffalo Grove, and Glenwood)

I have heard Hastings is very good this year. I unfortunately haven't had the opportunity to see their show, but I'm sure it's killer!

Oops. Forgot Center grove. I knew I was forgetting one. I'd bump everyone down on my predictions and throw in Center grove in first runner up. I was writing my post and couldn't refer to the list of choirs going. I'm rooting for hastings to continue their vocal streak of 14 or whatever it is and may be pulling the win after having gotten that first runner up spot in the last couple of years. Don't worry. I researched Center grove a few days ago.

Please do some research on Center Grove. I predict CG for the GC.

I'm going to take a stab at predictions.
GC Hastings best vocals
1st ru Glenwood best choreographer
2nd ru Buffalo grove Band
3rd ru sullivan
4th ru Findlay
5th ru mt zion

I could see the first two switching and the last to switching. I dunno. This one is so hard.

Have you seen any of the shows that you are predicting this year? Just wondering! Everyone's shows are great, I haven't seem them all myself. I believe that it's going to definitely be a tight competition, but I don't believe your predictions are going to hold accurate due to the style of the judges that are attending this competition.

I don't understand how people can not have Center Grove Sound System in finals. They are one of the two undefeated groups going into this competition along with Hastings. They have already beaten FC, Carmel, and Loveland which gives them an extended victory over almost all of the choirs attending. I don't think Sound System will ever miss going into finals.

This competition is going to be SO exciting. There are soo many fantastic groups and it is such a shame the judges have to cut it to 6!

Center Grove and Hastings are going to be phenomenal and I think they both have an equal chance to win!!

In addition to Center Grove and Hastings, they should be joined by; Findlay, Buffalo Grove, and Glenwood.

Mt. Zion, Vibe, and Petal are going to have to battle it out for the last spot! Regardless who gets it all the groups going are fantastic and I cannot wait for this!

The results from this past week of competitions has opened up the field even more! All of the choirs are going to be amazing. I'm looking forward to seeing them, it's like a dream come true.

I'd kill to be here. Fantasy was invited to come, but the statewide school-testing was scheduled for that day so we were not able to go. Then, a week ago, they changed the date!! UGH! Anyway I hope that everyone has an awesome time and good luck to everyone!

Ouch. Homewood was supposed to come last year to compete against Burroughs and Los Al, but then prom got scheduled during SCN. Fortunately for them, they're coming in the year where finalists and non-finalists will be separated by a point or two. Oops/best of luck to everyone going in a couple of weeks.

Umm, probably no more than seven points difference between 1st and 11th here. Mt. Zion and Daniel Hand are not the only ones who will be "REALLY close" if everyone brings it.

Haha, I'm saying that I think they will have to duke it out over that last finals spot! Just my opinion.
