My highlights from the recordings

Costumes…okay Choraleers and Flight, if I could get one of those flower dresses from Choraleers sent to me…please!
Flight, the green and brown colors just blend so well with the back drop/prop…
Naperville boys purple suits…glorifying!!!

Vocals…Flight, you guys are just simply amazing and mesmerizing!!
Swingsations, that ballad…priceless.

Choreography, all groups did an amazing job, simply just amazing.

Bands, Naperville/Entourage & Neosho/Choraleers, killer bands, just killer.

Naperville Entourage, ready to fly, I remember Troy doing this in the early years, really good job on that ballad.

VOC, loved the theme…all the songs were in such a great order and the costuming with props just completed it.


Everyone did an amazing job! These things just really caught my eye

I doubt it, they were 6th in prelims too. Having been there today, Keller had a great show! Awesome energy, it was a treat to get to see the top Texas show choir. The five groups ahead of them were also great. Folks from Keller should be proud of their performances today. Viva Las Vegas!

This comp was so much fun!! The people from WWS were so welcoming and friendly, this tends to be my favorite comp throughout the year! Thank you guys!!

This is my shocked face when I looked at these results last night, thought they were insane and how could anyone guess them, and then I look today and I guessed them???? Shocked beyond shocked.

Admittedly a biased VOC supported, I have a few comments. First, thanks to the judges for their time and talent in support of all these young talented performers. I watched all the performances via live-stream, which was excellent quality. I agree with the two soloists awards, although there were several others who could have won. My final order is:

GC: - Mt. Zion Swingsations - Best Choreography
2nd - Troy Express
3rd - VOC - Best Vocals
4th - Waubonsie - Sound Check
5th - Wheaton North Flight
6th - Naperville Entourage

WWS's Classics exhibition performance was my favorite of the entire weekend. Also, they were wonderful hosts. Thanks to all involved in planning, organizing and executing one of the best run show choir competitions ever.

My personal PREDICTIONS after watching finals live tonight.

GC: Wheaton North BV
1RU: Mt. Zion BC
2RU: Troy Buchanan
3RU: Naperville North
4RU: Keller Central
5RU: Waubonsie

I’m sure I will be wrong but it’s always fun to take a stab at it. Amazing performances by all!

Wheaton North always gives me chills during their second number. Love the journey your show takes the audience on. I also feel like no one danced quite like Mt. Zion tonight. They always execute Dwight choreo so well.

Tough job for the judges tonight. Congrats to all on amazing performances!
