I'm right there with you. I personally had Janesville winning this thing

Just not a good music selection and choreography is too spazzy.
Great talent, probably the best at the show.

I just wanted to thank New London again for a great day. The Vision kids are always some of the nicest ones around, and our hosts and everyone else this year were no different! It makes me sad to realize this was my last NL ever as a competitor... what a wild four years it's been for CS, starting our competition career here in '08, winning in '09, and then getting knocked down a little bit both last year and this year. No complaints here, though, as this combined with the Super Bowl made for a pretty sweet birthday weekend.

Congrats to Green Bay East for an amazing return to the competition stage, and thanks for being such ardent fans during our prelims show - they're better than we were in our first year, and should become a formidable group in the years to come! The only other shows I got to see were Colby in prelims and Craig in finals, and let me say, both of the shows were absolutely astounding. Colby is improving by leaps and bounds, and I still can't believe we beat Craig... Thanks to Madison East for being so nice after our finals performance. The compliments meant a lot, and the dance party was pretty cool too!

Thanks Ben! You're so fortunate to have such a great group. So focused and intense. And as for the judges, I completely disagree with their decisions, but sometimes show choir is like that. And thanks for every group that came. Our invitational is always the best day of the year for us! We always spend all day after school on Friday decorating. Pretty important to us. Hope you all had a safe trip home and I hope to see you next year!

Who were the judges?

so....I will totally agree that Sauk had a great performance. I totally think Janesville and Preble should have been placed higher. Preble should definitely have been 1st runner up at the least. Their show was really entertaining and super clean. They have continued to be a great show choir after everyone thought them winning New London two years ago was just a fluke. They are for real!! I really don't know why Janesville was placed below Madison East but that's how the day goes sometimes. Can't wait to see what happens when Sauk, Preble, and Janesville go to Fort this weekend. That comp is going to be FIERCE!!

I tried and tried and tried to get miss Flurry to have us perform at 6:30 but she said we just couldn't do it.

Thanks Jake! Yes, I'm very fortunate! Especially fortunate to have a host like you!

My biggest complaint of the day is that we didn't get to see New London's show! I've heard great things, but sadly we were in critique at the time. Our critique was AWESOME, but I would have liked to see your show.

Well as a Sauk person, I can say that we are very excited!! I watched Janesville Craig in prelims and thought they were pretty solid. I especially enjoyed the opener. After that, the energy and emotion seemed to slip after that and I personally didn't care for the music selections. However, I was still surprised that they placed so low. I saw Mayville in finals and really enjoyed their show! The sound was classically "Mayvillian" and I thought the band played beautifully and expressively, which is something that backup combos are not exactly known for.

All of us from Sauk knew we had to step it up in finals to hold our place, and that's what happened. We all really enjoyed the day, and hope everyone else did too!

New London is our favorite competition for many reasons. (for me as a director mostly because it isn't 3 hours away!!!) We have always had GREAT host students and the event is a well oiled machine with great stage manager dads and MC that keeps things moving along. Although like many of you I was a little perplexed by the final outcomes, I believe these were the strongest finals performances I have seen in a while. Everyone stepped up to the plate which is why there was only one unanimous ranking in the finals. I also enjoy that all the groups were HUGELY supportive of one another and it was great to see all the schools having fun and not creating any drama. Thanks New London for a great day!!

Well... You can stay in my living room. The competition is 20 mins away haha. All you have to do is pay for gas! ...........

Plus the $40 admission ticket.... That's really the crappy part.

Wow...

I'm kind of confused, in all honesty! I thought Janesville's show was outstanding this year.. Not to take anything away from any of the other groups, but I don't understand why Janesville placed so low..

Thanks to New London for a great day! Their emcee is always amazing, and their stage dads are incredible! They get it all done, on time, without being pushy, which I love! Our hosts were incredible as well! Jake was my favorite. He's "mustardsmuggler" on here I think... You all only wish you had as dedicated a host as Jake was to us during the entire day! Thanks Jake and crew!

What a great day, for the most part. Thanks to NL for a great day, and congratulations to Sauk for their resurgence! I didn't get to see them yesterday, so I'm even more excited for Fort!

Watch them with me!
