I almost fell into our drumset during our closer. We all had to put one of our feet on our stands to prevent them from falling over. We also stacked our guitar & bass amps and were a little worried about them falling over.

I don't know if there's anyone on this website from New London, but you are amazing hosts and it's always my favorite competition to go to.

As the father of one of the New London VISION students I want to thank all of the groups along with their friends and family for making the event what it was. I am always amazed at how much talent we have in Wisconsin and how hard you all work to bring it out. Hopefully Show Choir will contine and the parents and faculty will support it. Because of your hard work and dedication you are better students and better people I am sure that I speak for all SHOW CHOIR parents when I say that we are proud of you no matter where you place in the standings. My daughter was one of the host's for the Reedsburg group (who did an awesome job. The girl at the beginning that gave the annoucer the flower had a solo and had an amazing voice.) and had a blast even though it was a 20 hour day. So again THANK YOU and hopefully we will see you next year.

my school was right on the side of the stage watching and we were like.. is the stage going to fall over!?

Yeah actually a performer with Middle Level Motion from our middle school fell off the stage! My brother whos in the band from that group also said his stand almost fell over. Our band director assured us that the stage wasn't going to collapse and even if it did, the sacrifice would be worth it!!

They didn't really say that we were rocking the stage too much. But, you know, it happens. It's a little surprizing if you haven't preformed at New London before, but it's exciting in its own way.

I had such a great time yesterday! Thank you to everyone who helped out with the comp!

And thanks to everyone who participated in the dance parties! My favorite part of any compitition.

Also, congrats to Madison East! You guys were awesome! I didn't see your show here, but I saw you at Monona Grove and I always love your shows!

I love it when the whole group does side-to-side chugs or something in unison. I can't imagine what it looks like. We've had to have stage crew members keep the wind chimes quiet, and hold up the music stands for the combo.

The stage was rockin' yesterday. Literally. xD

Apparently a judge made a comment about that to Spots after their day show. Said that they moved the stage too much.

The stage was rockin' yesterday. Literally. xD

Brodhead: I can see why you guys have a reputation for being consistently good.. because you are! April's stuff looks really cool live. CS wasn't really sold on Freak on a Leash as a ballad before you did it, but you pulled it off really well. That's Not My Name was fun to see as a show choir song, and Into the Night is my favorite closer of all time for basically any group.

New London: Thanks for being amazing hosts. Your show is a ton of fun to watch. If You're Out There is up there with one of my favorite ballads, and Go Your Own Way was a great way to finish off the day.

Holmen: I was a bit curious to see why you made finals over Brodhead and De Pere, but let me say you definitely deserved it. Your vocal sound was amazing for only having 28 people on stage, and Brent gave you some really nice stuff as well. I really liked all of your song choices, too. Great job.

Craig: We got to see your show! Finally! And it was amazing!! You guys deserved to take this GC home, and we're glad you did. Promises in the Dark is a sweet opener, and Ben's stuff just comes so naturally to you guys it's almost spooky. Your vocals were astounding when you were dancing (especially during My Way), and just ridiculous (in a good way) during the ballad. Congrats!

(If I didn't write anything about a choir, it's because I didn't get to watch them, which probably made me sad.)

Center Stage didn't place as well as we wanted to, but we put on two great shows yesterday, so that's just the way competition works. I realize we're new at this, so we're going to keep on trying to be a better choir on and offstage and hope you all enjoy the ride as much as we do. It's been a great season, and we're all excited for our cruise to the Bahamas.

Thanks to New London for a great time! Both Center Stage and Rendezvous had awesome days.

(I will be putting up a finals DVD on YouTube of each choir's show after their final competition if there are no objections; Ben, I know you put up Craig's show after MoShow so I won't worry about them.)

why is that?

It's just how they've always done it. They usually announce the Vocals and Band captions after the day too. This year they decided to announce both at night.

From what I understand... they never have the BC award.

That's correct.

BC: None? Do they usually not have a Best Choreography caption award? Was there a six-way tie? Did the judges hate everybody's choreography? What's the deal?

Results:

GC: Janesville Craig
1RU: Mayville
2RU: Madison East
3RU: Green Bay
4RU: Sauk Prairie
5RU: Holmen

BV: Sauk
BC: None
BB: Craig

My source didn't seem the most confident (little brothers...) so I may have to change these.

Those results are correct. I'll refrain from comment for the time being; I'm sure there will be some discussion later.
