your profile says you are Dennis Smith age is listed at 11 years old. So I am not having anything, reading what your profile says.

Looks like I was on something when I entered my birthday!!! The year should be 1989 not 1999. Major typo!!!

I'm thinking finalists will be (in ABC order):

- Hastings
- Jackson Prep
- Kennedy
- Lawrence Central
- Sioux City East
- Totino Grace

I'm rooting for the Southern representative, Jackson Prep. They have a wonderful show and I wish them and everyone else here the best of luck!

This is what I think about the competition. Lawrence Central has wonderful vocals this year. Their vocal scores will make them place very high. I LOVE the way LC sings every year. It is powerful and anyone that knows me knows i LOVE hearing black women sing. It is my weakness.

Hahaha!! Julio, your comment about black women singing just made my morning! Funniest thing I've heard def in a few days. I think LC can make that happen for you LOL Thank you for your complimentary words about LC and esp the VOCALS b/c we make that a huge deal. Were looking forward to FAME Chicago

Man, for an 11 year old you sure do use some wonderful wording. I wish I could post as well as this at 21 years old.

Julio,
I believe you are missing the point I've tried to make. We all know how wonderful Totino is. We all know they are undefeated. We all understand why they are clearly the favorites. There is a thin line between gloating and having good manners. The Totino choir members are nice people and aren't fanfaring as much as you do in the vast majority of your posts. They are gracious winners and are friendly and supportive of the other schools and their competitors. When you state that half of Totino can win, mathematically that may imply that none of the other groups are half as good. This is supposed to be fun, and for some. It will be their last show choir competition ever. So, to these "half-as-good" groups, its more about the experience, than all about winning.

Ok. First of all... you don't know me.
Secondly, I am only a fan. I have seen Totino, CR Kennedy, and Sioux City East's shows multiple times. Huntington North is my favorite group of all time, and Lawrence Central's vocals are really really good this year, so obviously I'm a fan of ALL the groups.
I am in NO WAY associated with Totino-Grace. I do not live in the state of Minnesota, nor have I ever. And I've never been to TG High School. Again, I am only a fan of the show this year, because in my mind, this in an EPIC show. One of the bests.
Thirdly, please stop taking my joke out of context and twisting it to make it an insult. I have seen all these groups before, some not this year. I hosted Hastings at our competition, and so obviously I love them. Stephen gives them SUCH good choreography... And like I said numerous times on these boards- this competition is going to be tight. Extremely competitive and EXTREMELY fun.

I'm so so so excited for this trip

Besides that. Not ONE judge has placed them lower than first all season long. They are completely undefeated, having not even lost a vocal, choreography, or band caption. Their show this year is EPIC. that is all you can say about it. there is no weakness in their show. They perform it lights out. They sing with a freeness and resonance that you rarely see from high school students. Not only do they sing beautifully (only HN typically sings prettier than them) but it is HEALTHY singing, and it makes me appreciate CofS that much more.

This is what I think about the competition. Lawrence Central has wonderful vocals this year. Their vocal scores will make them place very high. I LOVE the way LC sings every year. It is powerful and anyone that knows me knows i LOVE hearing black women sing. It is my weakness.

Huntington North is my favorite group of ALL-TIME. this is my first time seeing them live, and that is my #2 reason for coming to FAME Chicago (#1 is to hang out with Her Majesty, Ana friday night ) Their vocals usually make me shiver (though I haven't seen them this year, and they are just the epitome of class.

Kennedy and Hastings have EXCELLENT choreography. The way they dance makes this competition SO tight. They, as well as everyone else, put 1000% into their show, and both have had extremely successful seasons this year. And both of their styles are different than any other choir coming here (one reason this competition is going to be FANTASTIC)

Sioux City East is just a prime example of classic show choir. Heath Weber knows how to put on an elegant, exciting, and entertaining show. The style that East has is quite simply MY style of show. And the choreography that Weaver gives them is always visually effective, and very well composed.

I guess my point is that while I obviously think Totino-Grace can and should win this one (based on results and the amazing shows I saw live), I have no disrespect for any choir. These choirs coming here are all HIGHLY successful every year, and have been for a long long time. How can I not have respect for such amazing programs? The simple fact is you "pelnese" yet again read what I say and take the most extreme "implication" you possibly can. I would be stupid to think half of a choir can beat this crazy talented field of competitors, so obviously that is not what I meant. I was making a joke....

If you any issues with a poster, you may send a crew member a PM or send one to the person. From what I have seen has just been a love for another choir and he strongly believes that a choir will win.

I have to agree that Totino is the clear favorite, as not only have they won every competition they have kind of dominated

I can certainly understand showing your love for a particular choir. There is an implication in his post that 1/2 of Totino's group is good enough to beat the rest of the choirs... that is what I'm referring to. Let's show our love for ALL competing choirs without making any of them feel any less deserving.

You clearly are not familiar with how Jay (julio) posts on SCC. It was a sarcastic comment in good fun. I am sure you take a lot of offense from other posts on the boards if you got upset over this one.
