This competition is going to get so rowdy. Wheaton's competition always has very good groups. Excited to see the results!

So this competition is rediculously stacked! 15 mixed groups that would normally make finals--and we aren't even counting the women's groups! Should be rediculous (rediculously amazing)!

Since it is a month away, I'll wait to make predictions. But I'm totally cheering for the two Southern groups!!!

It's been brought to my attention that three of the choirs in the women's division are actually performing on Friday night - not on Saturday with the rest of the groups - so the schedule has been updated to reflect that. I am assuming the reason for this split is simply because there wasn't time to have them perform on Saturday with everyone else; the competition is already scheduled to run from 8:00am until 11:00pm (and that's with strict 25-minute setup/perform/teardown times and very few breaks in between!). It's great to see so many wonderful schools participating, but it seems like an awfully packed day (especially for the judges who will be there for the entire marathon) with very little room for error. I know some Midwest schools do women/prep divisions concurrently with the mixed groups at a different location on campus, but I'm not sure if Wheaton has the facilities to accommodate that. The upshot here is that everyone gets to watch everyone else should they choose, but there are going to be some awfully tired heads at the end of this day.

Best way to predict results of any competition is to look at the list of judges. Do we know who they are for this one?

Marty DeMott (Indianapolis, IN)
Jeff Gemar (Chatham, IL)
Paul Gulsvig (Onalaska, WI)
Annette Layman (Raleigh, NC)
Eric Van Cleave (Lafayette, IN)

Hahaha We totally would but 1. I'm still poor and don't have a job. and 2. I'm going to be in South Carolina for my choir tour

My only prediction is I think Solon will make finals here.

Yes!! Lots of people have been forgetting how crisp they are in general. Crisp choreo. Crisp diction. Rarely are mistakes made in that choir.
