I'm really excited to see this competition, so many good groups going! This is how I think it'll turn out (although I am positive I will be wrong):

GC: Waubonsie Valley
1RU: Burbank
2RU: Buffalo Grove
3RU: Mt. Zion
4RU: Prospect (have they not competed yet this year?)
5RU: Mitchell/Solon

I haven't seen anyone but Solon yet this year so I'm basing a lot of this on current records and what I saw last year. I also think the judges/style of groups will play a part in how this one turns out.

Also I want to add that the difference I have between GC and 1ru is because the score sheet has a higher point total in vocals normally so that is why I have Burbank first, granted, they also have amazing choreo. WV also has amazing vocals, but I don't see them beating Burbank in them, especially with the Acapella ballad.

This is a bloodbath none the less

I add I have only seen 3 of these finalist live ever. But I have seen multiple videos of Burbank, Solon, and Mitchell. Competed against WV, Buffalo grove, and Mt. Zion. So I am kinda going off of past year in what I've seen.

I know right!? They came to Competition of Excellence and myself and 3 other friends hosted them and their show is SO good this year!! I'm pretty bummed.

I have decided that predictions for this competition is completely ridiculous. So many AMAZING groups performing. 6 Finals spots could easily go to 14 or 15 groups! Gonna be a blood bath! Good luck to all you guys!

These are the stats for each group through this past weekend (Feb. 14-15).

Milton: Finals-2 (4th place both times) (3 comps)

Keller: Finals-1 (5th place) (1 comp)

Eldorado: info unknown

Solon: Finals-3 (1 grand champ, 3rd and 2nd) best vocals-3, best band-3 (3 comp)

Papillion: Finals-1 (2nd place) (1 comp)

Mt. Zion: Finals-3 (2 grand champs, 2nd place) best vocals-2, best choreo-1 best band-1 (3 comps)

Auburn: Finals-3 (1 grand champ, 2 2nd places) best vocals-2, best choreo-1 (3 comps)

Waubonsie: Finals-2 (2 grand champs) best vocals-2, best choreo-2 (2 comps)

Prospect: info unknown

Burbank: 2 grand champs, best vocals-2, best choreo-1 (2 comps)

Neenah:Finals-2 (6th and 3rd) (3 comps)

Westside: Finals-4 (2 grand champs, 2nd, 3rd) best vocals-2, best choreo-1 best band-2 (4 comps)

Decatur: Finals-2 (2nd and 4th) best choreo-1 (2 comps)

Buffalo Grove: Finals-2 (1 grand champ, 2nd) best vocals-1, best choreo-2, best band-1 (2 comps)

Mitchell: Finals-2 (2 grand champs) best choreo-2 best band-1 (2 comps)

As you can see from the above all of these groups competing consistently make finals, this will be one heck of a competition can't wait to see it play out live!

This is shaping up to be quite the competition. If my research is accurate....

8 groups attending have been Grand Champions so far this year....

5 groups have won TWO GCs (Waubonsie, Mitchell, Burbank, Mt. Zion & Westside)

....and THREE groups are undefeated so far: Waubonsie, Mitchell & Burbank....

...the craziness is fast approaching!
