I understand that this is high school. And this in no way is to take away from Mundelien because those kids put their heart out on that stage tonight. I just don't understand how they placed ahead Janesville Craig and even Sauk Prairie. My friend and I were talking about it (she is a student at Mundelein) and we are speechless.

Regardless, congratulations to everyone for an extremely awesome competition to watch!

Sorry. I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions.

Thanks for doing that for me.

Can't wait for awards. I've only been watching finals, but it's been great!

Rachel, we're lucky. It looks like Häakon just changed both of ours for us.

Thanks!

I the past there have been alumni thread's where you post and then they know to change it. They're in the general show choir discussion section.

Thank you!

On a side note, how can I change my status from "Student" to "Alumni?"

Updated PREDICTIONS

GC. Waubonsie Valley (Best Vocals, Best Band)
1RU.Waconia (Best Choreography)
2RU. Janesville Craig
--pretty big drop--
3RU. Sauk Prairie
-another smaller drop-
4RU. Mundelein
5RU. Holmen

Honestly, I could see vocals going to Waubonsie Valley or Waconia. I could also see Choreography going to any of the top three. I feel that the top three are going to be very close, and the last two pretty close. I can't wait to hear awards. This was a fantastic competition to watch at home on a boring Saturday!

Sorry to get off topic, does anyone have any new predictions? I would offer mine, but I missed JC, so they wouldn't be fair.

So, you can explain what the Final Countdown and Aladdin had to do with each other.. ;)

I'm sorry, that wasn't an attack on Mundelein - I loved your show last year, and this year too. I just really wish people would just enjoy shows instead of "criticizing" them for perceived problems...

I'm not saying those things go together. My confusion of the costumes vs. the songs got in the way of enjoying their show. I was trying to piece together everything and that was a distraction I guess.

I am completely confused by Holmen's show. Their vocals were pretty good, but I had no idea what was going on during their show. The song choices seemed very random and I was uncomfortable at times during their show. I don't know what monks have to do with Les Mis or the Beatles.

Waubonsie really stepped up their show here in finals, in my opinion. I would go WV, then Waconia, Craig. Waconia and Craig are really close, though. I may be hard when watching Craig though because I've seen them a few times and know people in the group.
