Since there is all this talk about CG copying old Carmel show's what is CG's set this year?

It is the same riser set up that they have had for the third year in a row and the second out of the past three years they have had boxes on the stage except this year they don't bring them on until the closer. They also added a staircase. I haven't been able to figure out where they copied.

Any chance that Carmel's show was actually risqué, and really not all that risky?

It was nice to hear that a couple of parents of CG went out of their way to ask how the carmel parents liked that last number. Classy.

Why does your quote at the bottom say "Don't Teays me bro"?

These results don't match the list of groups we have competing... was Bunsold not there? Do you know the correct performance order?

Bunsold IS Marysville. When Marysville's old middle school shut down for renovation, they renamed it Bunsold Middle School. But It's still in Marysville

Lol... Ohio step it up! This is our territory.

Wasn't our fault, this competition was vocal based and clean based. Not at all how difficult the choreo was. A few Indiana judges and Findlay directors is the reason why. Big vocal people

I'm glad that people are actually talking on here again, it has been SO quiet all season!
I would like to say that i was amazed by Carmel's vocals! But was completely confused by their show. For a second, i could not figure out why they were bowing mid show. Then realized they were finished. And like others have stated, the chair dancing was VERY risky. I feel like it gives a bad name to those girls, and gives a bad name to show choir girls. But in the end, i was still AMAZED by their vocals.
With Center Grove, i just feel like with carmel's girls, their boys number just gave a terrible name for boys in show choir. I am a VERY open-minded, accepting person, but the stripping on stage was just too much. I understand trying to please the audiience, but there is a line between pleasing an audience and covering up a weak show.
and Twinsburg, HOW DID THEY GET BORN THIS WAY?! That came on and i literally freaked out. I LOVED it. Major major MAJOR props to them to getting that song so clean vocally and choreographly in such a short amount of time. It took me a while to get into their show, but once i did, i really liked it.
And of course, as Bishop Luers Alumni, i have to rave about them. I am SO completely proud of them. From their vocals to choreography, i can't believe how wonderful they are. Obviously, i feel they should have had a spot in the finals, and that they were amouung the powerhouse choirs last night. With Ron Morgan by their side this year, they have really stepped it up and are just trying their hardest to perform a completely amazing show. and come on, did you hear that ballad?! the soloist Momo Lamping was phenominal. I know i am biased, but strongly feel they deserved a spot last night :D :D :D :D :D
But major congrats to everyone who competed yesterday!!!!
My first show choir season as a simple spectator was a success :D :D

I just have to bring up the fact that Center Grove's entire set seemed very familiar to me as a member of Carmel Choirs for the past two years... From the costumes to the song choice, one could conclude that much of the set was a blatant copy of Carmel's 2010 show. Some say that imitation is the highest form of flattery, however to many Carmel students this was very frustrating. But I guess that just the way it works some times and there's nothing you can do about it. The CG kids still put on a great show, even if it wasn't the most original and they really pushed us to want to be better. It was great competing against them, regardless.

wow

covering up a weak show.

That's a little harsh don't you think. I understand it may not be the absolute best show in the world, but I wouldn't say that it is weak in any way shape or form. I have really enjoyed seeing the show grow over this year. It started off a little weak but I know they have worked hard to make it the absolute best they can! Great job Sound System keep up the hard work! Also Congrats to all other groups at this competition and to those that are going to Fame good luck and hope to see you at the Super Bowl.

I just want to say that as a current member of cg sound system I couldnt be happier with yesterday. We had two amazing shows and honestly our show has made leaps and bounds since Pike. We have a young, inexperienced group and ive been worried about how this would turn out, but honestly ive never been more proud of us
