They were but it got canceled, but I hear our Elementary school show choir called Euclid Children's Chorus (ECC) is going to be performing before prelims awards/finals announcements, haha. It should be cute, I used to be in ECC - it was like a 150 member choir when I was in it.
I cant wait for this competiton ive never been to twinsburg in my three years in the group so this will be a new expericence for me and i cant wait to see what everyone is going to be bringing out this year and who will step it up to the next level because thats what its going to take with the line up at this competition.

Ok i have been thinking about this competition for awhile and these results may be really odd but this is how i think its going to go down
GC- Hurricane(Chore, Band)
1st- Marysville(Vocals)
2nd- Piqua
3rd- Manchester
4th- Teays Valley
5th- Solon
OK now to talk about the odd things on this list. yea i do have hurricane winning it all and marysville getting second. and yes i do have teays valley in 4th place, just beleive this is the way things are going to go down. of course you all relize this is my OPINION and i do have much respect for all these groups and all the kids and directors in them. so good luck to everyone and im excited to see the results
this actually seems very possible. from what ive seen from these groups in the past (except manchester, whom i dont think ive ever seen before), this is how i would ranked them. the only thing is that teays has a shot at best choreography in my opinion.

On that note Teays Valley may have a new director this year but Andy Haynes is still choreographing them, we went to a festival and had a clinic with him and that man is amazing with anything show choir related so in my opinion I don’t think there will be much of a change from Teays in a negative way they this year. I hope you guys have a great competitions season, as I’m sure you will and I can’t wait to see your show.

this is a great line-up, better than last year's actually. just from glancing over the list, it appears that there are more finals-capable schools slated to compete. i hadn't planned on attending Northcoast, but after seeing this line-up, i just might have to change my plans.
and though it's still extremely early in the season, i might as well kick off the predictions. although with the high level of competition i've come to expect from some of these groups, i doubt the accuracy of nearly any prediction at this point.
GC- Hurricane/Piqua/Marysville
1RU- Marysville/Hurricane/Piqua
2RU- Piqua/Marysville/Hurricane
3RU- Manchester (Capital Swing)
4RU- Solon
5RU- Teays Valley
Vocals- Hurricane
Choreo- Marysville or Piqua
Band- Marysville
several challenges present themselves when thinking about the possible outcome. first, a giant question mark at any competition they attend this year, is Teays Valley. with a new director, no one can be sure exactly what to expect from a group that has been at the top of the Ohio pile for the past several years. and though pulling out of Ada can be seen as an early sign of ill preparation, perhaps it was decided that competing in the fall was just not for them, as is the case with many groups.
then there is the problem of making a place for schools like Euclid, Garfield Heights and Van Buren. all groups that were on the rise last year, but it's still a bit of an unknown as to what they'll produce this season. and i still haven't even mentioned other obvious competitors such as Brush and Winfield. Northcoast is already shaping up to be a fantastic competition (which seems to be the case with many Ohio comps this year) and i couldn't be more glad.
The reason why we didn't go to Ada was because to be able to preform in the morrning we would have to be at the school around 3:45, and then in past years when we have gone to Ada we haven't got home until around 3:00. So the reason we didnt attend Ada wasn't because we weren't ready or we where ill prepared it was because our director didn't feel like a 24 hour day was setting us up for success(sp). We tried to find another in state contest to attend but I do not believe we could find one and/or it was to late to register.
I'm excited for this competition... the line up looks great, and I actually don't remember if Brush attended in my other two years of sc. It's going to be a tough one, but should definetely be fun!
I'm counting down the days until this competition....I can not wait to see how our finished show holds up against some of the top competitors here and where we place
Marysville has a chance to take down hurricane again. I personally believe they out performed hurricane at fairfield but thats just my opinion. look for both of them at the top. then manchester capital swing. piqua and solon of course and last spot is out there.

you are so totally right about the other up-and-coming groups. this year is gonna be a weird one because nobody knows what to expect out of anyone pretty much. so many things can (and have) happen that could influence a lot of things. this is THE comp to see how everyone stands up to the pressure of tough competition. you just have to go out there and do the best you can. the aint much else to it.

yea, garfield took a year off from this comp last year, but we are "reguvinated" in a way with a combo director and an assistant director. it will be intersting to see how we compare to our previous outing at twinsburg as well as against the rest of the compitition.
