This was an amazing competition!! Clinton Attache!! Thank you so much for letting me host you and this was a blast. I just....watching you guys warm up really gave me the since of what show choir should really be like. ENTERTAINMENT! By far it was not lacking. I loved every bit of it.

To the other groups! We had such a stacked line up it was so much fun to see friends from b-creek, piqua, and marysville! And to make new ones from Eisenhower and to meet the Clinton kids, and adults.

everyone was fabulous. The other show choirs were spectacular!!

Everything i thought was perfect tonight for me at least. I hope everyone has succecs threw the rest of the year.

Adam squared and I were realying info. WE BEAT JOSH/JEENA! lol
Jeena you were an AMAZING show choir buddy. .

Today was just amazing. I know it's cliche. However, this competition was AMAZING. The best competition I've ever been to EVER.

Clinton, What can I say? You lived up to the hype. You are truely a spectacle. "Free Bird" is DEFINATLY on par with "Into The Light". Can't wait to see you at Nationals

Marysville, Way to step it up into finals. You pulled out ALL the stops today. I was very happy with the end of your show. GO SWINGERS GO SWINGERS GO!

I was so happy to see all my show choir friends:
Eric, Jeena, Ben, Matt, and John It was so much fun.

Major kudos to Mr. Jeff Clark and all the volunteers at Fairfield for hosting a wonderful competition and bringing together an highly qualified judging panel. With so many quality groups shooting for finals, i'm sure many of you are dissappointed right now. Give props to the groups that did make finals and work toward bettering yourselves for next weekend.

P.S. I thought the judges were on the mark, for the most part.

yay!!!!!!!!!! usually i try to keep a certain level of decorum when i post - i don't know, makes me feel important or something - but these results make me so happy that i'm beyond worrying about such things right now.

yes, Marysville didn't win, but i never expected that. as with any competition, all i hoped for my favorite bunch of people was for them to put on their best show yet. and though i wasn't there to see it in person, finding a First Runner-Up and Best Vocals next to my alma mater's name proves to me that the Swingers left it on the stage today. i really couldn't be prouder. congratulations to all the schools that made finals at one of the most difficult competitions in the country this year. congratulations to Marysville for all of your hard work (and for winning a caption over Clinton(!!!)), and congratulations to Clinton for continuing your streak.

I totally witnessed this competition...
I am slightly upset for having to leave before finals, though.
The results turned out pretty close to how I would have guessed after seeing them all.

What an interesting day of show choir.
I left after finalists were announced. Here's what I thought of the day showings.
Beavercreek - Your performance was fun. I enjoyed your soloist in the gospel number and the energy you all had in your closer. I really like the girls dresses that they wore at the end. You all had such great energy, it was evident you were doing your best and performing hard. Technically speaking, you guys really need to work on the balance between you and your combo. It seemed as if you guys were singing well, but it was hard to tell with your combo's volume. Your sound during the gospel number was low to gone, but I still loved the energy that your soloist had. I loved most of your choreo, it just had a lot of energy. Haha, so I guess it's obvious that overall I just think you guys did a great job with your energy and enertaining those in attendance. Just need some stronger vocals to compete with those that made finals Great job!

Marysville - Your show starts out far too slow. Don't get me wrong, you sang well. However, it is hard to get into what you're doing at the beginning because of how it starts. BUT AFTER THE SECOND NUMBER THINGS PICKED UP TIMES 100. The soloist that sang "Home" (one of my favorite songs btw) was wonderful! Your choreography was extremely entertaining, difficult, and fun! I saw your show last year and think this one is much better. I was impressed, and pleasntly surprised with your strong sound. Great job.

EEE - I was not impressed with your show at all. You bored me. You danced well, but with not much energy. I do not mean to put you guys down; however, it just didn't do it for me. Your sound was so tiny and weak. I think maybe you guys were just having an off performance. Congratulations nonetheless!

Clinton - Though many will come to say you were not as amazing as they thought you would be...you were still great. Your sound was a little off at times, (especiall in your opener) but in comparison to other choirs, you were wonderful. If you were a regular show choir, and we weren't building you up in our minds before you went on, people would be raving over your performance. It's clear you are prepared and confident. Your choreography was definitely fun and DEFINITELY precise. I'm not sure how much I enjoyed the song selections, but I enjoyed your show very much still. On a different note --- I talked to some parents and students from Clinton, and every one of them was extremely friendly and nice I applaud you guys at your performance.

Findlay - You guys started off a little rough. I wasn't a fan of your opener or ballad. For a wonderful version of "What I Did For Love," check out the Zionsville Royalaires on Youtube. But don't think I hated you -- you were fantastic. Your choreography was very very good. Your tap number in the closer was GREATTT. You guys really brought it. I was especially impressed that after such a long dance break, you still had a solid sound. I really enjoyed watching you.

Piqua - I think you guys did well. Your male sound is far better than your female. I love the beginning of your show, but it loses its power after at the end of the boys number. Your ballad consists of two soloists and hardly any choir at all. I was a little disappointed there wasn't more choral sound. I was enteratined but necessarily impressed. You all did well, though.

Hurricane - Well done. Again, I'm not too sure how I feel about slow openings to shows. I wish you would have come out like you did last year - you guys had so much energy from start to finish last year. I don't remember a lot of specfics about your show, but it was good. You have a ton of girls. Your dancing is unique. I like it. Overall, your show was less memorable than last year...but still great. Good job.

FC GIRLS did Awesome! They took Best costume and Best choreo

Single-Gender:
GC: Norwell (Vocals)
1RU: Franklin Central (Costume, Choreography)
2RU: Zionsville
Franklin Central "FC Singers" Performed the best show they've performed all season. Looking at the finalists, The only thing i can think of that would have given these results would be the schedule. All this is not to say that Norwell isn't excellent, They have come SUCH a long way since last year and the year before. I would still not be able to consider them in the same league as FC, Piqua, Zionsville, Or Beavercreek...Norwell was in the middle of the less competitive groups. If either Piqua or FC had made it into finals i'd still be there, but there is no way Norwell outperformed FC OR piqua. For that matter, i thought FC AND Piqua had a better showing than Eisenhower During the day... Seems to be all about the names tonight. My opinion on placements if the contest had ended after prelims, Would have been

GC: Marysville (Best Vocal Sound by a good little bit)
1RU: Clinton (Best Choreo, Best band ((not by much))
2RU: Hurricane
3RU: Findlay
4RU: Franklin Central (possible tie)
5RU: Piqua (Possible tie)

I love EEE, but tonight they made finals because of their name. Not impressed with clinton, Except they are Still impeccably clean. Vocals kind of lacking though. Hurricane was my favorite show of the day. Findlay... Does what they do well. Franklin Central was full of energy, Passion, and put on an entertaining show that was about 92% in my opinion. Piqua's show makes me vomit, but they have fun on stage and they were much better vocally than Eisenhower.

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE IN FINALS

your crossing the line by quite bit dont you think.... thats fine if you wanna voice your opinions.... but there is a line between voicing your opinions and disrespecting someone.... your being rude and not supportive....not to mention half the time your comments make no vaild point. So assuming that your out of high school... how about you start acting like it.

Question, Any directors or choreographers on here... The Day round WAS Timed... and one of the FC parents was told that yes, As of the moment you cross onto the stage til the time your last person leaves the stage, you have 25 minutes. After 25.01 the points start coming off... I HAVE NO IDEA HOW CLINTON IS IN FIRST!!!! Seriously, I timed them... They took 38.50 minutes total... What is the normal Breakdown... Like... How many points per minute? Becaus i was timing the whole day, Eisenhower, Findlay, Clinton, beavercreek, and Piqua were all SIGNIFICANTLY over time... The point spread would have had to be HUGE for clinton to still be in first... And DEFINATELY no way for EEE to make finals in my opinion... Any word on that???
