Random blind predictions out of boredom:
GC - Xavier (BV)
1RU - DC
2RU - Valley (I'm surprised there isn't more hubbub over how their first outing will be under Esser) (BC)
3RU - BK
4RU - IC
5RU - Muscatine

I'm also surprised there isn't hubbub over Valley. Unfortunately, I don't think anyone knows much about what Valley will be like this year. Dina Else's first year was VERY strong, I didn't get to see last year. It will be so interesting to see how they do!

I'll be at Linn-Mar all day so good luck to everyone!

my final and completely random predictions:
GC: Xavier
1RU: Valley
2RU: Iowa City West
3RU: Bloomington Kennedy
4RU: Davenport Central
5RU: Iowa City High

BV: Xavier
BC: Xavier
BB: Valley

Good luck to all groups... especially Xavier and Davenport Central... we've got a long road of competitions together ahead of us.

I hope to see RCR tomorrow... and at Mount Pleasant... and at Kennedy!

Does anybody know if they split up Waukee into different classes for bigger and smaller schools, or is it just varsity and prep?

true that. and dance parties too. i LOVED the dance parties at Mt. Pleasant and Milton.... both in gyms. most auds have too many seats for dance parties and cheeroffs.

I feel like a dance party would be amazing!!!!!

I do recall at SCN that we had a pretty epic cheerathon while waiting for final awards. That was the most acoustically perfect cheerfest I've ever partaken in.

cheer-offs are much more effective in a gym

i have to agree with spencer. although the acoustics would most likely be better in the auditorium, i have too many wonderful memories with Spencer Hughes and Pat Fagan in the back right hand corner of a set of bleachers, watching show choir. i need a gym.

too true my friend, too true.

Oh come on! The bleacher's aren't what hurt your back. It's the fact that our generation has no concept of posture that hurts our backs.

Not to mention that when I watch choirs, it's usually after performing TWICE that day... not including two vocal warmups in the homeroom and two regular designated warmups. All that standing and energy loss makes me slump....
