" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> thank you to men@work's hosts (disney princess stickers!!!) and powerhouse's hosts (CHIPS!) and to pat, p-nasty, and the rest of the los al crew for making this a great competition!

yeahhh. thanks woody! I REALLY REALLY hope that everyone just had a good time this weekend. Most importantly, that's what we wanted for everyone. Sometimes we all get caught up in the moment of placements and biased opinions and forget that we are all in this together. At the end of competition season and the end of school year, we are gonna look back and remember that friends we made and the good times we had. I know that's what it is important for me. We are a community, remember?

But on a better note, good job everyone. I judged the caption awards(which i hoped everyone enjoyed and was ok with because me and p-nasty tried to be fair and give them out fairly :]) and by the end of the night i was so tired. but ending my weekend with those 10 groups was awesome. Everyone gave a good performance. Hart is coming up soon. Lets make sure that no matter what happens the rest of the season, we keep in mind that the music, the people, and the friendships are what are most important!! k?

AND FINALLY? did everyone enjoy the video?? i reallyyyyyyyyyy hope so. please please please remember that it was all in good fun. nothing said was serious. Any calls made on choirs has nothing to do with our feelings or attitudes towards those choirs. ok? thanks for being good sports.

^^^Haha your welcome!!! we had so much fun hosting you guys the stickers were totally my idea

i was in the front row for most of the competition last night and i really think that was the best show i've ever seen Powerhouse do. it was amazing. and as many have already said In Sync looked pretty flawless to me. Brea you guys were awesome even though the strobe light always freaks me out lol.And Hart you guys were awesome. At the end of last night i didnt really know what to say but to everyone thats upset, these things happen its just an opinion of the judges, and no one has the same opinion. congrats to Sara and Lauren from Celebration for placing in the solo competition earlier in the day.

I had alot of fun hosting burroughs and hart this weekend. i got to see all of my friends and made some new ones. please dont blame us for the outcome of the judging cause i know most of us dont agree with it. but what can we do? but EVERYONE did great and i cant wait to see you all again at Hart.

see its things like that that i think should be left unsaid...
thats what i meant by this is rude.
theres no need to say u dont like the wigs
and saying we know who's better is really mean... you cant say whos the best everyone at one point does deserve a win and just because some of you dont agree with the win doesnt mean u need to publicly anounce it. its only bringing certain groups down

Well
sorry
I wasnt trying to be rude its just the way i talk
i even talk about myown group like that
if you knew me you'd know that was my way of being nice

Sorry Brea kids

I heard a lot of Burroughs kids(and their parents) complaining outside and I couldn't help but remember that they won everything at Los Al last year, didn't they? I think everyone should just support and congratulate Brea for their hard work and get ready for the next one!

I want to apologize for the Burroughs VMA. As former student president, reading something like that is both embaressing and upsetting. Our new director Mr. Jennings doesn't condone such behavior, nor do any of the members or parents with real integrity. So sorry to hear that happened! I hope anyone that did that acts with more respect next time, that's not what we're about!

I just want to tell everyone that los al had so much fun with our competition and we are glad to hear that most of you really enjoyed the day. Xtravaganza is one of the most fun things for us to do (and the most tiring) and we really enjoy it when you guys have fun too. I was there ALLLL weekend and really enjoyed hearing/seeing every choir do something..

Burroughs. I'm not a burroughs groupie or anything but I seriously thought your show was the best you have done all year. I know a bunch of us from los al wanted to make sure you knew that because we all thought it was the best show we have seen you do all year.

Burbank. as everyone has said, pretty much flawless. It was nice meeting the people i met last night.. you guys are fun

Agina and Leatrice. I sat in to watch your solo and I can not even begin to explain to you how blown away I was by your performances. Not that I would expect anything less from the two of you since you guys are always stars when you do your set but you guys exceeded all my expectations. Congratulations on great performances.

I guess for now its goodbye until Hart.. which if i remember from last year had interesting results as well

With love from los al

I just wanna say whoever does the photos on showphotos.net is amazing. Those pictures are great. Not to mention they are a great teaching tool to have a snapshot of a pose or move and get to see how off arms are and stuff like that.
Thanks!

I sat at the Los Al competition all day and night yesturday and here is what I thought....

I think it is fun to watch groups who don't usually place un the top 2 get acknowledged for a really great night. I think it is purely the judges impression of each particular group on that particular night. Different styles appeal to different people on different days. I thought the advanced girls results were pretty accurate from what I saw yesturday. Burbank and Brea had amazing energy and Brea was totally in the zone and they seemed especially energized. I thought Bonita's ladies were just beautiful.

As for the evening results, I think Brea had a real "we have nothing to lose, lets just go for it" attitude and it was infectious. Arcadia sounded great in that theater and it is hard to argue with near perfect vocals in a 60/40 competition. I think Burbank and Burroughs were terrific, not every judge is going to have the same taste as the next one and I think it was just Brea's moment to shine. I think everyone should just let them enjoy their time in the spotlight, instead of complaining about how bad or off the judges may have been. That probably makes them feel like they didn't deserve their acknoledgement, and that is sad. I think Los Al put on a great competition that was fun and enjoyable for all. I heard a lot of Burroughs kids(and their parents) complaining outside and I couldn't help but remember that they won everything at Los Al last year, didn't they? I think everyone should just support and congratulate Brea for their hard work and get ready for the next one!

did u ever stop to think maybe those choirs didnt have a good show that day and brea did? no because ur too busy thinking that the schools who usually get first were "robbed" even though brea is AMAZING

You know what, I did stop and think about it! And I've come to the conclusion that Burbank had a flawless show.
