i saw it all, i was the sound tech for the adv. group. dimand bar was loud, not like bad loud but i didnt have to turn the mics up for them, so i thought that was cool. Hart was pretty cool too. la mesa, too bad but they left some boxes on stage. um sound limited was pretty cool i guess, lol. sry but the rest is still pretty fuzzy in the mind. 12 hours locked up in a booth can get to you. good job to everyone...hip hip.

the placement was right... except poor poor la mesa girls.... last comp and they get Dqed, HART WAS FLIPPING AMAZING!!!! and so was diamond bar. I thought the choreo for diamond bar was great, it was so perfect. just overwhelming numbers! all the other groups were great but DIAMOND BAR, HART and LA MESA were by far my three favorite and the three best

HartBreakers- Wow...congradulations. In the history of HartBreakers, we have never been able to receive first place, yet last night you guys achieved that. That is incredible. We sounded amazing in the warm up room and kept up that energy on stage. Shadowlands was our best I think. And I have to apologize to everyone, because I did not do my best, but I will next time! Good job girls keep it up!

Diamond Bar- I LOVED your show, it was sooo amazing. You were finally an entertaining group to watch, the others before you were sooooooooooo boring and I thought I was going to die if I had to watch another group without facial expressions lol. But good job girls. And BTW, Marquis is excellent as well I though they should've gotten first at Brea Olinda, but oh well.

Burbank- I think I want to wear your black dresses to prom. Haha Just Kidding...I love your dresses, they are so elegant. And your a capella was sooooo cool. You guys always have the great a capellas. To be honest, I saw that song in the program and I thought, how are they going to pull that off? But you guys did it well, congrats!

That's all I have to say. I can't wait to see everyone at Diamond Bar Woo WOo!!!

As I said.... I think Sound is the ONLY choir asking to be be judged at their OWN competition...

NO ONE ELSE has the judges score them, because they understand. It doesn't seem like I am getting to the piano player in any way.... " border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

OUT!

Why are you making an issue out of this?

It doesn't matter whether or not the group asks to be adjudicated. And btw, there ARE several comps where the host group receives scores too.

How about you try making an issue out of something relevant instead of attacking people personally?

Very well said, Michael.

YEAH!! There are 48 girls on stage during your ballad (a capella maybe?). LoL. I counted THREE times! Woo woo! How many are in your whole group? I would love to meet you, mysterious... Oh, and the first soloist for "America"... I was told her name but I forgot. I always forget.

My two cents:
La Mesa and Diamond Bar--you girls were amazing! Even though La Mesa had a young sound to them (naturally) and had a few two part harmony songs, they were right on! Good work girls! Diamond Bar-Your sound was beautiful!! You had a *very* mature sound to you and looked like you girls were having fun! Great Job!
Hartbreakers-ShadowLands was my favorite by faaaaar! I could feel the vibe that we were all into it and I was loving every second of it!!! The band for Breathless was a bit too loud but nontheless, we still worked with it. You'll Never Be Alone was yet another powerful number in which I felt that we put 100% of our emotion into. Eternal Flame...eh...haha--let's just say that we could still use some work on that. Thoroughly Modern Millie---SOOOOOO CUUUUTE!!! I loooove this number! I think it too could use some more cleaning, but I think it's precious!! Girls--I love you sooo much! I know we all felt that we didnt do our best last night...but just think about where we will be when we ARE our best!!! shoooooooooooot! I love you girls. And I'm sorry to all the other schools if we seemed like we were flaunting it last night. This was DEFINATELY a breakthrough for Hartbreakers since Hartbreakers has NEVER received higher than second place! We were just a *bit* overwhelmed! We love all of our advanced women groups and can't wait to see you at Diamond Bar on March 7th!

PEACE!

I thought DB should have placed first. I was up in the tech booth the entire time so I had the best seats in the house. I thought La Mesa was very good but the clapping thingy kinda bothered me. I saw that they left those 2 stepstands out. We had head sets so we called Alicia who was backstage and told her to move them. So Mrs. Ronacher and some other guy moved them! otherwise they wouldnt have seen them haha.

So yeah and having Sound being judged isnt biased at all, why? because the judges have no reason to favor a group when their scores will not effect the outcome of the competition! It helps them improve and know how they compare to their competition so they will strive to improve. I was there when they recieved their scores. You seem to specialize in having a negative attitude and superiority complex, not show choir.
