If you didn't want an issue made out of it, you shouldn't have posted it.

On the contrary, you are making an issue out of it.

....nevertheless every group did really well at FLO, and i'm really glad i got to be an Emcee the first half, and i'm also really glad i go to hang out with the lovely girls of Burbank's impressions. They rocked house

.............and you are continuing to do the same, aren't you?

"nonetheless" after a pointless post referring to La Mesa and Burbank????? What kind of "congrats" is that????? (meaningless comes to mind)......and please, PLEASE tell us how Sound could compete in the mixed division if this was a ladies only competition????? For that matter, how could Sound compete in any mixed division competition - or am I missing something here?????.......and a choir shouldn't lose points for leaving props on stage????? I suppose there should be no time limits or any kind of penalties for any choir, if I read your comment correctly. Overall, there is absolutely nothing interesting to ponder at all except that the whole premise of your post shows you haven't a clue.    " border="0" alt="huh.gif" />  " border="0" alt="wacko.gif" />  " border="0" alt="sleeping.gif" />

First off, talking about "mixed division"...that was a typo, obviously, something you really can't say anything about ater reading through your disease ridden post.

Second....Why shouldn't a choir lose points for leaving their props onstage?...not only did La Mesa leave their stuff out, but they left it right in the way, onstage. Our director had to run out in the middle of Brea's set and grab a box. If the group can't follow the rules, the suffer the consequences. Everyone knows La Mesa did a great job, but they learned a lesson while they were doing it. That is just how the game works.

...Next time, sequenceboy.....please proof read your posts and make sure you know what you are talking about.

Lates!

YEAH!!  There are 48 girls on stage during your ballad (a capella maybe?).  LoL.  I counted THREE times!  Woo woo!  How many are in your whole group?  I would love to meet you, mysterious... Oh, and the first soloist for "America"... I was told her name but I forgot.  I always forget.

" border="0" alt="wub.gif" /> Lauren

Actually my group has fifty girls, I thought everybody was on stage except maybe Kellian (the blond who was on stage alone before the don't rain solo- sweetest girl in the world! )
The America soloist was Courtney- one of my best buds. you know now that I think about it you two do look a like!
You seem really nice it would have been fun to meet at BV, I should have turned around and said hi, but I didn't know it was you. I didn't recognize you, you are so much more beautiful in person! Oh well, maybe at DB we could meet! " border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Yeah, one of the judges commented on their tape that they should have competed in the advanced division.

can anybody clear this up for me...
i heard a rumor from my friend who heard it from someone in s.u., that temecula is an ADVANCED group, but since they lost like everything last year, they decided to compete in the open division [[and not the advanced division]]... and they won 1st, musicianship, and showmanship... [[by the way, congrats to them ]]
... but is that true or juss a rumor? when i heard that, it kinda made me mad... but i wanna clear it up before everyone gets mad and all...  " border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

Last year, Temecula competed in the Advanced Division at FLO. That's the extent of my knowledge.

hmmm... that doesn't seem very fair to the rest of us who ARE intermediate or novice groups... " border="0" alt="huh.gif" /> ... i mean, i wouldn't get any pleasure outta winning everything in an open division competition, if i were in an advanced group... dry.gif... i think i'd feel pretty embarrassed... i mean, beating groups that aren't at the same level and all... really sux

yea i agree with u tiffy. but u gotta admit that they were good, exceped i know that u didnt get to see them cause u had to leave to warm up right before they praformed.

I remember Daimond Bar one year had the judges adjudicate them. Now that is different cause one of their adjudicators was Doug Khul who is Daimond Bar's Choreographer.......i think every competition does have adjudicators score them....they just aren't published in the final spreadsheets that everyone gets.

Hahaha

Reading comprehension is something sequinsboy needs to develop. Not to mention the talent for writing in a style that reflects a fluid thought process.

As I said.... I think Sound is the ONLY choir asking to be be judged at their OWN competition...

NO ONE ELSE has the judges score them, because they understand. It doesn't seem like I am getting to the piano player in any way.... " border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

OUT!

Why are you making an issue out of this?

It doesn't matter whether or not the group asks to be adjudicated. And btw, there ARE several comps where the host group receives scores too.

How about you try making an issue out of something relevant instead of attacking people personally?

If you didn't want an issue made out of it, you shouldn't have posted it.

Yeah, good job to everyone.  La Mesa got first...and I'm sure that isn't the first time they've beaten several top notch advanced girls groups.  I heard they left two step stands on the stage or something.  Anyway, Tear Them Down was by far their best number....but I don't think they deserved music at all, especially with Burbank, they had the best sound by far.  But nonetheless congrats to Hart, DB, and Esperanza.

If Sound was actually competing in the mixed division, and there were no such things as "point deductions for leaving props on the stage" the results would have been:

1. Sound Unlimited
2. La Mesa
3. Hart
4. Diamond Bar
5. Esperanza

Interesting to ponder eh?

Huh????? You say congrats to Hart, DB and Esperanza "nonetheless" after a pointless post referring to La Mesa and Burbank????? What kind of "congrats" is that?????
