Clarification: Sioux City East had the dubstep closer not Millard West.

Both of them did

This was the main stream I watched today/tonight, because obviously. Folks have already said it, but really what a great night. Few highlights:

Millard West - First time I think I've really *watched* you. Really great show design. Closer was amazing. Dubstep was such a throwback to 2012. The energy was so enjoyable to watch.

Sioux City East - Didn't catch much, but it sounded great. I'm contemplating seeing y'all in person when you come to HOA Cincy. We'll see.

Waukee - Already said it, but that ballad and closer give me so much life. I love this Waukee show. What now? I guess I'll just have to keep watching your show online.

Mitchell - I've always been a FDC fan. The show design is flawless. Sounded incredible too, can't imagine how many million times better it was in the audience!

Johnston - Vienna is SO AMAZING.

Ankeny Centennial - Much good very wow. That dancing was mesmerizing.

Still thinking about this comp. Johnston, I was blown away! You were the GC Sweep in my book! Spectrum was good, but you guys? You innovated the word Innovation!

Anyone have a link to either Innovation's or Eternal Rush's shows?

Centenial was visually stunning. That being said, I have a hard time considering it show choir and not a musical. In my opinion it is unacceptable to have a 5-6 dance break with commentary and no singing. Just my opinion. They executed it perfectly and rocked it. I may just be an old traditionalist though

They usually perform a longer show anyway, so think of it as more bang for your buck. Centennial saw a much deserved and very clear win last night.

Congrats to the amazing groups that we've seen the last two days at Urbandale, and to the amazing parents and students that make the magic happen!

I wanted to make a shout out and apology to the young lady from Lincoln who won the best female solo. I'm the idiot that accidentally circled the wrong name on the sheet as we were choosing. We knew it was you, but in the dark I accidentally circled the wrong name.....100% my fault and I ask your apology.....you were a stunning soloist!

God bless, Damon Brown

Her name is Maddie Pressler!

To clarify his post, the wrong name was announced for best Female Soloist during daytime awards and the actual girl from southwest who won BFS was Maddie

Waukee's show was stellar, especially the ballad. Really expected them to move up in finals. Congrats to all who competed.

By far the most beautiful moment of the night--Urbandale's ballad.
"Music of Stillness" by Elaine Hagenberg. Stunningly and tastefully done. Left me breathless.

I didn't get to watch prelims, but that live feed of finals had me beyond speechless. Huge congrats to every group that competed here today. There wasn't a group I watched that didn't give me chills. SUCH a stacked competition
