Marty is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University. Her successful thirty-four year music education career has included years in Indiana and in Illinois. Mrs. Lindvahl is in retirement after teaching most recently at Danville High School. She was on staff at EIU show choir camp for several years and has been a contest adjudicator for over thirty years. Marty keeps busy in the fall judging and working with color guards and in the winter judging at show choir competitions. She is an active vocal clinician and guest conductor at festivals around the Midwest. Marty is a member of Illinois Music Educators Association. Marty enjoys performing in her surrounding community and is a vocalist with a popular jazz/pop group in Danville. She has served as musical director and as a performer in Danville Light Opera productions of RENT and Promises, Promises. Marty has directed the community choir that performs with Danville Symphony Orchestra's Joyful Sound concerts.
