I think you have to put Ben Davis in finals... Last year at the state competition they got 4RU... Higher than every Indiana group competing here (except Carmel of course). Homestead was not invited to state, if i remember correctly. And Carroll was pretty low too weren't they (i want to say 10-12?)

This competition will be up in the air.

Findlay- Findlay has a good chance of winning this competition. They seem to have a hard time with competing out of Ohio. They do alright but they never seem to pull off the big wins. I haven't seen them this year but they do have 1 GC and 2 1st RU's so I know they are good.

Carmel- I don't know what to expect from Carmel. They are still new to me. I saw them at ISSMA last year and they won a well deserved GC. BUT it seems that they didn't do so hot in the beginning of the season. Also, it seems like a lot of people in Indiana don't like Carmel. I actually heard some people "boo" them. I met a few kids from Carmel and I thought they were the nicest people. I can't help but think there could be some bias in the judging.

Northrop- I think Northrop will do well in this competition. It is basically home field advantage for them. I hosted them at the 2005 TV Classic and I knew they were going to be special in a few years time. There results aren't amazing but I could see a 3rd or possibly a 2nd place placement.

Teays Valley- I will admit that I am VERY critical of Teays. I have no clue how they will do at this out-of-state competition. I could see them getting as high as 2nd as low as 5th or 6th. They really haven't proven themselves as a threat to me yet. I think after Garfield Heights I can better evaluate them. The do have a GC and 1st RU. I hope the represent Ohio well and I think it will depend on the judge's taste for them.

Homestead- I wasn't overly impressed with Homestead last year but the year before they were very good. I can't say much but it really depends on if it's an up year or down year.

Carroll- They have not doing amazing so far but they haven't done horrible. I think this group has the capability to surprise some people and knock a good group out of finals.

Ben Davis- They have been alright the last few years but they have had better days. I am curious to see how they are this year. They could easily make finals.

Highland- They had some great success last year and have a good shot at finals but I don't know if they have what it takes to get a impressive placement at this comp. I will assume that they will be just short of finals but don't count them out.

Pike- With a GC last year you can't discredit them but I will say they will probably come up short of finals... you never know though.

East Noble- They have made finals a few times but I don't think they will be there this time.

Garrett- No clue about this group so I am going to say a no to finals.

------------------------------------

Findlay
Carmel

Predictions

GC: Findlay
1RU: Carmel
2RU: Northrop
3RU: Teays Valley
4RU: Carroll
5RU: Homestead

I think Findlay will win this but I have no real clue how 2-6 will end up. I think that the 6 listed will make finals but I'm not ready to count out Ben Davis or Anderson-Highland. It's so early to tell. I may be changing this list. GOHIO

Northridge Northern Lights are going to there. We are so incredibly excited. Our new director, Mr. Dan Baker student taught there and then was the assistant director there. He speaks very highly of the entire program at Huntington North and has gotten us all really pumped!

thats already a freakin awesome lineup... but i know for a fact that our director said that there are 20-something groups that are showing up with about 7 or 8 more that we couldnt fit into the lineup... so... other schools... who are you?????????

So you are saying there could be around 30 groups there? Are there separate divisions? I hope so.
