Thank you for the schedule, it’s awesome! The line up looks really interesting, in a good way I think. Sometimes I think we often see at many Ohio competitions that the prominent/”power” choirs all compete in the afternoon while some of the lesser known choirs usually compete in the morning times. Which brings up the whole debate about performance time and likelihood of making finals. And I assume each competition has a different way of deciding performance order, but I like how this Showcase has groups like Twinsburg and Solon in the morning and Elgin and Ross in the afternoon. It switches things up and gives students and observers a chance to see choirs they might be less familiar with! Also interesting that Fairfield’s single-gender choir is randomly placed in the middle of all these mixed choirs and even in the afternoon, so perhaps they might be able to make finals…again!

Should be a good competition and I’m looking forward to hearing all of the SCC’s thoughts on shows after the competition.

I am not sure how they decided the order but I know it had something to do with when they signed up. Earlier groups to sign up got later spots and vice versa!

I just realized that PE is competing. I have a feeling they'll be taking the final spot.

Predictions:

GC: Fairfield (BV, BC, BB)
1ru: Findlay
2ru: Solon
3ru: Twinsburg
4ru: Beavercreek
5ru: Capital

I would echo this but switch Solon and Findlay. I also don't expect a Fairfield sweep; Solon has been very good in recent years.

After this weekend, I'm more than sure that Fairfield will win. Not a sweep but most captions will be theirs.

I'm sure Fairfield will dominate with show design/overall effect and could very easily take best choreography. Vocals will either go to Findlay, Fairfield, or Twinsburg (I imagine). Those 3 will probably be on top followed by Solon.
