I actually hadn't heard that. Really? ...I'm not a big fan of that idea. Not really because of the prelims part, but because of the Single-Gender part. We kind of have a big thing in our school about Single-Gender groups being held on the same level and priority as our mixed group, is all.

It's just that the Opry stage is such a great venue, it would have been nice if all the groups could perform on it, not just a few mixed groups and one Single-Gender group (assuming they still observe the practice of the winning Single-Gender choir performing at finals).

OH NO! i dont like that idea. at least we stand a chance..

All members of Company were sent this email...i thought i'd post it here

Some of you may have seen reports about the storm/ tornado cell going through the south- many of the stories being reported at the moment are focusing on Enterprise High School in Enterprise, Alabama. Enterprise, a small town, was hit very hard by tornadoes earlier today. The high school was in session, and students were at school when it was hit. There arevarying reports on how severely the school has been impacted, but it is
obviously a very scary and serious situation.

Enterprise High School has a very successful show choir, and they are on
the schedule for Show Choir Nationals in Nashville... We will be watching
the situation carefully, and looking for ways we can help out both the school
and the show choir program in the coming weeks and months. We can't do
much right this second, but we can keep the people of Enterprise, Alabama in
our thoughts and prayers!

Way to be on the ball Totino Grace! That's awesome.

seriously? those two pictures are one-in-the-same building?

Yes, It sure is. The front makes the building look much smaller than it is! It really is a great facility!

It's hard to make predictions about this competition. Out of the groups I've seen, and results from other competitions, I believe these four groups will make finals.

Totino Grace
Cedar Rapids Kennedy
Marysville
Enterprise

I don't know enough about the other groups to choose the other finalists. I'd LOVE to see Parkview make finals, but they'd have to have a pretty spectacular show to beat a lot of these groups.

I would not count out Enterprise in this competition. I saw them at thier competition in exhibition, and they are AMAZING... They have a GC under their belt (Petal Invitational) and they were 1st Runner-up to Clinton at Homewood's South Central Classic. It should be very interesting!

You're right, Danville won at South Dearborn. They also won Best Choreography and Best Vocal sound.
They were AWESOME! There Ballad (The Color Purple) gave me chills!
They are the best group I have ever seen besides clinton, but I havn't seen Clinton's show this year yet.

I think, without a doubt they will make finals

I was wondering if anyone would do that song as their ballad.

I'm so excited...

The Opryland Hotel was amazing last year. I posted from a free internet room with like 6 computers. I'll be doing that again this year. I'll make sure to watch more groups.
