I have heard some pretty interesting groups are coming to this competition. Who all will be performing at the Fame Chicago Competition this year? Should be a great one

Lafayette Jefferson is competing at Nationals in Nashville when this competition is being held.

Nashville Show Choir Nationals is March 13-16, FAME Chicago is March 28-30 (2 weeks later - at least, this is what I checked with both web sites for FAME and Nationals. If that's wrong - one of them needs to fix that!)

Laff Jeff is for sure listed for the Nashville contest - so it is possible they could sign up for the FAME Chicago (north shore...) as well. It would be great if they were - and put together a great show that I know they're capable of!

Anyway - I know I'm driving an hour north to get a load of this contest. Who else is coming?

I think it was a response to Sparky1's post that mentioned Ankeny.

That would make sense! haha Thanks Ana.

Because this fact has a lot to do with FAME Chicago?

It is NOT for sure that Burroughs is going. I should have added that.

We won't find out for awhile.

I don't think I've ever heard someone come out and say their group can beat Clinton...and if they did, that would be insane. No one should ever underestimate the talent and drive of any group.

Oh, and La Crosse traveled to Chicago for Chicagoland in 2006...perhaps they'll make another appearance...who knows? I would travel to see my alma mater compete against Clinton or Bourroughs any day. It's not something most upper-Midwestern show choir lovers get to experience that often.

yes SERIOUSLY FOLKS!!!! LEts put the money where you rmouth is --- all these groups say they can beat clinton...well? Heres your chance!!! PROVE IT!!! C'Mon Center Grove -- lets start going somewhere besides SHOWSTOPPERS, and see if you can win there too, and North Central? La Crosse you've never been out to a national event have you? Ankeny? Mt Zion? I would love to see several of you DUKE IT OUT in a clash of the titans -- and what better place than CHICAGO??!!

If ever there was a comp LaCrosse Central should cross the state line for, this would be it.. Mt. Zion? Center Grove? Findlay? North Central? Carmel? C"mon, it's practically in your back yard!

Those are the rumors I've been hearing, too.

I was at the last showdown in '05... and if this info is accurate, I'll be in Chicago this year too.

Word on the dark alleys of the show choir street is, this is going to be the competition that can be billed as BURROUGHS VS. CLINTON. Can anyone confirm this, officially?
