Wow, I'm shocked! Could somebody give a review as to why Totino wouldn't make finals?

We know for sure this...

it goes...

Linn-Mar
Waconia
Hastings
Milton
CR Prairie
Johnston

Totino-Grace
Those are the top 7 and we are about 99% sure

That was my sources guess, too.
But they werent sure.

From what i heard the best group was Hastings.

Apperantly they have Heelys in their show.

Talking to some people in one of the groups, Waconia and Linn Mar were ahead of Hastings, and Milton, Johnston, and CR Prairie were behind hastings. The exact order isn't for sure, except Hastings was 3rd entering finals.

That's what Stephen Todd told me earlier this year.

There were 12 groups at this competition capable of making finals, and only six spots. I thought about it, and decided that I wouldn't be too surprised no matter who got left out. The only ones I wondered about were Milton and Chippewa Falls, since they haven't historically been as strong of contenders, but that's changed in recent years, and 'last year' doesn't mean diddly squat in show choir, anyway.

Congrats to the finalists, and those who didn't make it shouldn't get too down: this was a hell of a competition for the first weekend of the season.

What is it with speeding tickets and show choir competitions? They seem to go together like spaghetti and meatballs I think there have only been like two competitions (out of roughly 12 since my freshman year) that parents of kids in my group havn't gotten speeding tickets when driving to our competition lol. My mom included She's gotten like 3 since my freshman year.

oh god... that reminds me of Great River last year... most definitely got a speeding ticket that day and got stuck in a blizzard on the way back.

oh god... that reminds me of Great River last year... most definitely got a speeding ticket that day and got stuck in a blizzard on the way back. and then going to FAME Chicago i definitely ran into a pole (well that's one of the stories lol ) I'm not very successful at show choir road trips... lol

I'm totally excited to see how this competition unfolds. I'm gonna have to cheer for my Cedar Rapids area schools. I expect some major surprises today!

Actually, it's a "buzzard descending upon a flock of sheep as they graze unknowingly in a pasture of freshly grown alfalfa" ripple. It's SO dramatic!

I hope you guys use fake blood for that. ;)

I'm really excited for tonight's finals at Viterbo. But, I know I'm probably going to be exhausted... seeing as I had to do my best talking one certain special director down from a ledge last night.

Good luck to all groups! And see you for finals and awards!
