Petal’s guitarist/soloist, EVERYTHING!!! Absolutely killed it, he took the stage and made it his own.

Well done, Peoria Soundwave! The theme! That duet!

It’s unfortunate because there are no “best duet” awards in show choir. I would understand a “tie” for the best soloist but that wouldn’t happen at SCN. These girls can sing. I would love to have heard them individually.

Best “Group Solo” type award could be made. There’s a lot of groups that have multiple solos at the same time.

Are final placements based on raw score or rankings?

From the SCN rulebook:

QUOTE

Scoring for finals is by the Consensus Ranking System.

We went in neutral - don’t know any performers. So many great sets and talented kids!! We really thought Carroll was *awesome.* Sad we won’t get to the show again tomorrow. Best of luck to all finalists.

My family saw Carroll and said it was INCREDIBLE. I wish I could see it for myself, as we got there one group after

Super proud of Petal! Them placing 5th in prelims at a competition like this is pretty impressive. I'm kind of shocked to see Spectrum in 4th place (although I'm sure performing at 8 AM wasn't easy). I wouldn't be surprised to see them move up in finals tomorrow. And of course congrats to Los Al on coming out on top in prelims! Can't wait to see how this plays out tomorrow!
