finals are about to start. I am not sure why Iowa city west didn't make finals . I had them at second after day.my guess is they got disqualified for time but don't quote me.

I know there have been changes to our scoring system over the years but I am 99% confident that daytime scores do not directly affect final placings. Last I checked we were running some version of the Fehr system, but I believe that prior to that we used vocal score as the tiebreaker in finals and then if they were tied there we went to daytime scores.

Thanks, that's what I was hoping... Otherwise groups who perform much earlier in the day could be hurt badly by aggregate. I'm so excited for the competition. See everyone tomorrow! Good luck to all groups (Go FDC!)

I'm sure they start fresh for finals. I personally haven't ever seen a competition that didn't start fresh in finals. But a case to back this assumption up... It's funny that right away when a thread starts about a show choir event, the immediate focus is how people will place. Don't get me wrong I'm an extremely competitive person, but instead of worrying and creating controversies about peoples predictions, what if nearly every post didn't have something to do with a prediction. Whether the intention is there or not, the possibility of sending out bad "vibes" and disrespect can all come from all these silly predictions. Let's all just go out there and enjoy the opportunity to be with some AMAZING talent!
