This was Northridge Starlights first year competing! They were all very excited.

Small mixed, I would have had either Bishop Luers or Plainfield on top. Vocally both choirs are stronger than DeKalb. Visually DeKalb deserved to dominate. They are absolutely fantastic visually. I would have had Bishop Luers on top, DeKalb 2nd and Plainfield 3rd.

Large mixed, I was very shocked with Huntington North's low placing. Vocally they are so so so good.

Congrats to all the groups! Hope it was a fun day for all!

Yes, but....I think that this far into the season groups like Luers can't win on vocals alone anymore, at the start of the season they dominated, but then other groups caught up...I think Plainfield had the best overall vocal/visual ration out of the three....but i think the placements were fair enough

Just kinda sounds like judging wasnt to fair to me. Wasn't impressed this year. Not how I would've placed the groups. And i'm not just saying this because we got 5th.

Agreed. I'm cool with getting 5th but I REALLY wanna know how they r judging. I mean congrats to everyone. But idk. I wouldn't have placed the groups quite like this either.

I'm glad to see BD and Carroll in the top three. I loved both of their shows this year. I wasn't really a fan of NC's design this year, but I can see how they could win this with a month to prepare. They're an amazing choir and with a month to clean and improve vocals, I'm not surprised. I only saw the BD performance, but there was some great potential for the show. Though, I really would have loved to see BD pull it out because there show was my favorite of the indy choirs this year.

Congrats to both groups from Plainfield! I am so proud of you all! Congrats on all your accomplishments this season.

To my alma mater, Columbia City, glad to see you did well this season.

And other groups as well. Knowing Indiana show choir, I know that each and every group gave their best on stage.
