The only person I know judging this competition is Paul Gulsvig, I had heard that Jeff Gemar is also judging, but I can't remember.

Out of these results I will take my stab (because i totally forgot about Mundelein Lights making a splash since they beat Prospect quite well at Great River)

GC: Wheaton Warrenville
1st RU: Troy
2nd RU: Mundelein Sound
3rd RU: Mundelein Lights
4th RU: Prospect

so chicagoland has been my favorite competition since... 5th grade?? watching my brother up there for journey ive wanted to mxd co ever since...

the best part is i know they all met new ppl and complimented each other on their hard work back then

its very salty in this forum tho....

i'm sure all of us have been practicing hard and love to sing and dance... as much as number one could be great... the feeling of getting off that stage happy and out of definately beats that... at least for me

so i hope every one has fun! meets new ppl! and good luck to everyone! i cant wait to watch!!

I agree with Vanessa, people on this website focus so much on gossiping about other groups and at some levels bringing other groups down, and it completely sets the mood for the competition. Maybe ONE person has talked about how fun this is going to be. I know its fun to gossip about which groups are gonna make finals and such but regardless if Wheaton Warrenville or Troy win or what groups make finals and which dont its still going to be a really fun and exciting competition, and in the end whoever walks out of Hersey with a five foot trophy or just a plaque that says "thanks for coming" it wont matter because we all came for the same reason, because we love show choir.

I'm so excited for tomorrow, its my favorite competition and I know its going to be tons of fun so I hope everyone feels the same way.

You're the famous "troy hater"

of course you wouldn't

Oh yeah! Thanks for reminding me.

But in all reality... Good luck to both Wheaton Warrenville AND Troy (I really DON'T hate Troy... only their lame posters who disguise as others " border="0" alt="happy.gif" /> ). It's really a mystery who will come out on top tomorrow. Wheaton has a tight package with clean choreography and beautiful vocals. Troy has a high production show with fantastic performers and great vocals. I could see it going either way!

Didn't I just give Troy some "love" by stating that they will be battling it out for the GC along with Wheaton?

Well i think that most of kids on here misuse SCC this is a forum to talk about show choir, a common interest of all of us. Not to try and spread your "RELGION OF (your group here)" I think most posters need to keep this in mind, yet you can still have your opinion heard but it can be done in a more civil manor than saying this group dominated last year, and i am from Troy and to say Troy dominated chicagoland is false if you were from Troy at that show we didnt think we made finals! how is that for dominating. All i am saying is please think before you post because your mind and actions reflect upon your school, your show choir, your town and your director. I will get off my soapbox now.

I am excited for this comp though!

I totally remember that last year!! At Troy we all thought as a group that this competition had been our best performance but because of technical difficulties we didn't even think we were going to make it into finals. Before they announced the finalists we were ready to give up. That is how close the competition was last year...which is why I wish I could be there this year because it is an amazing competition

I am pretty sure that Troy's prep group did win at chicagoland, but if i remember right they were in a division that was not with prospect girls group. so BOTH Troy and Prospects groups won. can't wait to go again this year!

John that's right....I really wish I was going to this competition this year....It was sooo much fun last year!!!!!!! Go T-Roy!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, that was subtle. No love for Troy, eh? Anyway, this is about more than 2 show choirs. Good luck to all.
