This is just my personal opinion, but I think that everyone is placing Teays Valley entirely too high, I don't believe they will even make finals at Twinsburg!!! They're having a down year, and this competition is too good.. First here are my class awards:

Class C:

2nd runner up: East "Madrigals"
1st runner up: Ada "Varsity Singers"
Grand Champion: Van Buren "The Association"

Class B:

2nd runner up: Garfield Heights "Music Express"
1st runner up: Piqua "The Company"
Grand Champion: Hurricane "Red Hot"

Class A:

2nd runner up: Solon "Music in Motion"
1st runner up: Manchester "Capital Swing"
Grand Champion: Marysville "Swingers Unlimited"

Here are my predictions from 15th to Grand champion... Although only the top 6 make finals...

14th runner up: Vermillion "The Association"
13th runner up: East "Madrigals"
12th runner up: Ada "Varsity Singers"
11th runner up: Matoaca "High Impact"
10th runner up: Manchester "Touch of Swing"
9th runner up: Van Buren "The Association"
8th runner up: Euclid "Varsity Chorale"
7th runner up: Teays Valley "Prominent Rendition"
6th runner up: Winfield "General Admission

Finalists:

5th runner up: Solon "Music in Motion"
4th runner up: Garfield Heights "Music Express"
3rd runner up: Piqua "The Company"
2nd runner up: Manchester "Capital Swing"
1st runner up: Hurricane "Red Hot"
Overall Grand Champion: Marysville "Swingers Unlimited"

Captions: Swept all by Marysville

I say Marysville wins by 30+ points over Hurricane!!!

Marysville completes the competition season undefeated!!!!

an all classes A and B finals line-up seems likely to me, so with the announcement of the class awards at daytime, i'd say four of the finalists should be apparent. my full prediction of finals competitors by class is as follows...

Class B
-Garfield Heights
-Hurricane
-Piqua
-Teays Valley

Class A
-Euclid
-Manchester
-Marysville
-Solon

bolded are the schools i think will pull out those coveted finals spots, though i think Euclid and Garfield Heights are possibly interchangable.

he said it was for his personal reference... maybe OSUMondo feels he has to go by Military Time. If I do say so myself, that afternoon line-up is amazing.

They are from the east. I think Virginia.

Looks like Soundsation is the "name" of the game.

GET IT? NAME!?! haha ok... ANYWAYS... " border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> " border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" />

I can't wait to see what's in store at THS.

Yeah, last year the awards ceremony got the crowd CRAZY wild, haha.

I'm so pumped.

It's my last show choir competition ever, wow.

I'm rooting for Solon to pull off a finals spot. This competition is TOUGH, but the Solon kids are some of the nicest, most talented, and passionate kids when it comes to performing.

Good luck, everyone!

Yeah they are!! GO SOLON! I love them all!

GC- Marysville/Hurricane/Manchester
1st- Hurricane/Marysville/Manchester
2nd- Hurricane/Marysville/Manchester
3rd- Piqua
4th- Solon

That's my prediction, but honestly there really is no telling who's gonna take this, it's a tough competition with some very strong choirs

I remeber that. Then in 2005 they had a Napoleon Dynomite Look-a-like contest

Hah, i remember that! Fun stuff.

I'm so excited for this weekend.. the level of groups that are gonna be there is mind-blowing. Woo!

And Yuri, that's so sad! Best of luck on your last comp.

My favorite was '03 i think.... the year they did "Blue"... they lit the whole auditorium with black lights. They played a techno mix (created by one of the students).. and then they had tons and tons of toilet paper that they filled the auditorium with.... everyone was throwing the toilet paper everywhere... it was like a huge foam party... toilet paper substitution of course!!!!! It was one of my favorite show choir contest experiences!!!! Twinsburg always goes all out and hosts a great contest.

I agree I still remember that competition...
