what does 'dont sleep on Papillion or Pleasant Hill' mean??? just wondering...i feel stupid for not getting that haha...

but for the most part...i like what i see for finals....last year...at FAME Branson...we beat Papio in prelims but they came back and beat us in semifinals so we'll see how all that goes...we have a rele good show this year...better than Hillside has been in a while...and we are workin our butts off for this comp....we might be practicing everynight b4 this comp...so i cant wait!!!

Though it probably doesn't do them justice (because it's video) Papillion La-Vista's 2005-2006 competition show is on youtube.

I feel like this show is MUCH different than last years.

Papillion LaVista "Free Spirit" has competed so far at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Midwest Cup. They placed third there behind two excellent choirs- Ankeny and Omaha Westside. They have a very fun show and I would not be surprised to see them make finals. here are my predictions:

GC: La Crosse Central "Grand Central Station"
1RU: Totino-Grace "Company of Singers"
2RU: Eau Claire "Old Abe Show Choir"
3RU: Bemidji "Vocalmotive"
4RU: Papillion LaVista "Free Spirit"
5RU: Bloomington Jefferson "Jefferson Jive"

After seeing at bemidji and seeing the opener of Eau Claire (yes, i know not the whole show.. but...) I would put Bemidji over Eau Claire this late in the season.
But other then that, i think i agree with this.

Ah! I must have missed that competition, thanks.
(Quick thing, you put Jeffersons prep group ahead of Bloomington Kennedy and Pleasent Hill, Bloomington Jefferson's main group can't attend due to other commitments.)

Yeah, I don't know if papillion has been to a competition yet, and I know p hill has hosted one so far. After this weekend and the next, I think I / others will also get better ground to compare them on. I wasn't sure between papillion or Bloomington on the guess, but as of now it's my unnofficial guess. I can't wait to see this, it is going to be a heated competition during the pre-lims.

Sorry, I didn't realize it was Bloomington Jefferson's prep I put in finals. I was wondering why the name had changed!!!

Yeah, with that, OASC is hot this year, last year we were 1 judge rank away from beating Bemidji at Hastings. It would have been a first. Since I didn't get to, I'm cheering for the group that will. Bemidji is going to have to also be hot to escape a defeat from OASC.

I'm going to go with this
GC: GCS
1RU: Totino or OASC (I'd like to see Totino at Winterfest before I decide)
2RU: Totino or OASC
3RU: Bemidji
4RU: P Hill
5RU: Bloomington Kennedy

Don't sleep on Papillion or Pleasant Hill

Well, you'll get to see our school at Winterfest...I think it's really sweet that you guys are coming (instead of just your prep group). It's a little confusing, but it's alright for not having a bridge

Another thing about Hastings is the fact they have a Walmart (I think...it could have been a Target or something) right across the way. Not that anyone I knew ever snuck out during a competition to get some gum...

HAHA this made me laugh for like 10 minutes... because... it's 530 am and i haven't slept... and... i think i read that while thinking of ben stein... so i was reading it as a sarcastic ben stein would have said "not that anyone i knew ever snuck out during a competition to get some gum..." but obviously since the man has no inflection whatsoever in his voice... it didn't come across as sarcasm... just odd... UH i'm done that took far too long to explain
