In past years we've semi-frequently made finals, placing around 2nd or 3rd runner up.
This year, we went through a major director change, and lots of freshman, so it's been more difficult.. however, our new director is soo talented, and though we haven't made finals yet this year, we've been working really hard to do so within the next few comps. So, here's hoping! ;)

Well good luck to you (and all groups). I have special permission to go strait to Dekalb in the morning, so I could see Watseka. This means I'll be able to cheer you guys on too.

Predictions:

GC - Findlay
1st RU - Buffalo Grove
2nd RU - Northrop
3rd RU - Fairfield
4th RU - Carroll
5th RU - Brush

I could definitely see Carroll moving into 4th.

Thanks for the confidence in Fairfield Fusion! Fusion is going to perform as hard as they can. Especially to make up for the disappointing show at Churubusco. Everything will be spot on at Dekalb.

Thanks for the confidence boost for Brush. I hope they do really well...

So do we have an updated official list yet? Schedule?

How has Brush done in the past?

I'm so excited to see Findlay! They have always been one of my all time favorites.

Good luck to everybody!

Not this year! 1RU at Beavercreek and GC at Northrop (swept all of the captions)! Yea Carroll! I have to admit I have a bias. I am a Carroll parent. But they do have a good show and will be very competitive. I have not seen this year's show for any other choir attending Dekalb with the exception of Northrop. Their show is also excellent. I expect they will also do very well this season. Looking forward to seeing the rest!

No offense to Carroll, but they always make finals. And in finals they are USUALLY end in 4th RU or 5th RU.

Does anybody know who the judges/ MCs are? Is Monty Demott going to be a judge this year again? He is usually the only judge that I have heard of before.

i assume you mean Marty DeMott, and yes, though i don't know the panel this year he does typically judge at DeKalb.

I would be shocked if Carroll finished fifth, I believe they will be higher than that.

Ewww, that's an ugly departure time for my old choir.

Not that I'm complaining, though.

Now that it is official that Edgewood won't be here, I put my new predictions out...

GC: Buffalo Grove
1st RU: Findlay
2nd RU: Carroll
3rd RU: Northrop
4th RU: Watseka
5th RU: Manteno/Brush

Pretty accurate from my observations over the years.....

So yeah Brush is gonna be there and this is our transition year so we aren't as good as I was expecting us to be. Our director went to another school so basically our director is like our Freshman. haha. But we'll try.

Good luck to all the schools
See you in a week

I think Fusion can get as high as 3rd RU especially if we have a good show. We did not have a good performance last year, but we will this year.

Yes Fairfield did beat Busco last year twice but wasn't by a combined two points?

The first time we beat Busco was pretty close, but the second time we had a more definate lead.
