^^Hmm. I might have been one of those assumers. How do the two Farifields compare?

Four more days.

Yea, I know what you mean... but I still think people assume this is Fairfield, OH. Is it not Fairfield, IN?

& OMG RAIN DOUBLE POST!

We aren't going to Boston, that's just Chorale and Orchestra I believe. Our last comp of the year is Grove City. And we got 2ru at Poca in 05 Rian... gosh man, get it right. ;)

There I changed it for you

most people say Fairfield, IN and Fairfield. Same with Edgewood. Edgewood, OH and Edgewood.

GC: Findlay
1RU: Buffalo Grove
2RU: Northrop
3RU: Carroll
4RU: Brush

[Disclaimer: I think I'm really bad at predictions.]

Considering Brush was beaten by Carroll I dont think Brush'll beat Carroll ;) I have confidence they'll pull the stops out this weekend.

Shh. I don't know.

Also, do people assume Fairfield "Fusion" is "Choraliers"?

Brush is coming from NE Ohio, so um like 300 miles?

Well, Dekalb's competition is coming up fast.... So quick question: who all is driving the greatest distance to get there?

I know Manteno is driving about 200 miles. Anyone else? Can't wait for the competition!

Bringing this thread back onto topic...

I have a couple questions for the DeKalb Barons:
1. How many groups will be admitted into finals?
2. When when solo competition winners be announced? Will any solo performances occur before or during finals?
3. Are varsity groups allowed to vie for finals alongside the championship groups?
4. Will any ladies, middle school, or varsity groups perform in exhibition before the start of finals?
5. When are finals projected to begin?
6. Is there going to be a "Best Seat in the House" again?

Kent and Shelley rock.

In answer to your questions:
1. 6 Championship groups go to the finals
2. Top three soloists are announced at the end of the day shows (5:30). The will compete at the beginning of the night show. (7:00 PM)
3. No, only championship choirs compete for a spot in the night show
4. DeKalb Sound Sensation (girls choir) will perform at 5:00 at the end of the day show. Classic Connection will end the evening at 10:15 PM
5. Finals will begin at 7:00 with the top 3 soloists competing for GC. The first choir goes on at 7:15
6. Yes, buy your tickets early and often!

We are planning for an outstanding day and evening of competition. We are welcoming some new choirs to our competition and are glad to see our old friends back again. Our entire community comes out to support the invitational, so you will be performing for an appreciative crowd.
The cafeteria will be using wonderful local caterers for the evening meal and as usual, we will have cookies and Dairy Queen Blizzards!

Predictions:

GC - Findlay
1st RU - Buffalo Grove
2nd RU - Northrop
3rd RU - Fairfield
4th RU - Carroll
5th RU - Brush

I could definitely see Carroll moving into 4th.

I wonder if Findlay will beat Buffalo Grove this year. If I'm correct Buffalo Grove won last year at Dekalb.
