great job everyone

my and 10 others from my school travelled the 5 hours just to watch this amazing invitational, and im sure we will be doing it again in years to come.

i was highly impressed wth the majority of the shows, and i would especially like to throw out a congrats to Sullivan and Wheaton. I'v never seen either of your groups before, and I was left speechless by your competitiveness.

hope to see some of these groups at some Wisc invitaitonals this year.

great job again!!!!

EEE was amazing there show wasnt boring at all i loved it! this competitin was fun but i expected some different groups in finals. and oh yeah i did the solo competition and i was awesome i loved my score and i liked how they critiqued you right after your solo performance. ok thats all folks

As for what I saw throughout the day...what an amazing bunch of talent from so many schools! I didn't watch any of finals except for Homestead...but it was just a mind blowing day overall.

Homestead - I didn't see your show until finals and to hear that you had been awake since 2am and performed the way you did, props to you! Very comical and just overall good vocal sound and energy from all performers!

Troy - You guys get better and better each year! In pre-lims I felt you and Sullivan were the top groups going into finals. Amazing diction and I loved the song selection. Vocals were outstanding and I'm taken aback at how far you've come in the past several years. Your director is so professional and really works so hard to put together a great show.

Sullivan - OMG is all I can say! I have never (in the past like 4 or 5 years) seen your group as prepared for Mt. Zion's Invitational at such an early part of the season as you guys were today. David Moellenkamp is so creative and I admire him as a director. Every year I keep hearing it's his last year...is that true? I'd hate to lose him if I were you! He really puts together such great shows. I commend you for your pre-lim performance with the song selection, your vocals, costumes, and kick @$$ plasma TVs. You girls are gorgeous!! WOW I hope you guys go super far this year. One of my favorite shows since 2000 and last year.

Wheaton-Warrenville - Probably one of the best vocal shows I saw during the day. Very disciplined and I really enjoyed your show as a whole. Your director really believes in you guys and you work very hard. Very mature sound from the entire group and everything was put together so well down to the "T." Good luck at all your other competitions and Congratulations on 1st runner-up...WOW.

Onalaska - It's hard to begin a year with a new director but you guys never cease to amaze me at how many people you can fit on stage. Loved the green dresses and purple/green suits last year and this year. Corey Anderson thinks up some crazy stuff but you work it like the classy show choir you are! Love the choreography!

Eisenhower - Not a fan of the first costumes, but have always loved your group. Your director is so awesome and I always enjoy watching him direct combo, which the combo is freakin' amazing I might add. You guys work so hard and the ending result is phenomenal. Loved the second half of the show!!! Congratulations on winning Grand Champs

Mt. Zion - One of the reasons I stayed for the end was to see you, and I wish I could swear but that would be bad, haha. I seriously hate you guys you're so good!!! That's a total compliment. Choreography was crisp, clean, and amazing and I was totally blown away. I don't know how Dwight comes up with the things he does, but he's a show choir GOD! WHat the heck was that light stuff you were using?! Anyways...extraordinary show, even better than last year...keep up the hard work and kick butt. You looked awesome and were words I can't even describe! Don't change a thing

I know Ona was 4th going into finals, but that's the only placement I know. I'm assuming EEE was 1st, but I could be wrong.

So, as far as Crete.... FACES won Grand Champion with best vocals and best choreography for the women's division, but as for Cavaliers... they didn't even place finals. That is all I could get out of my source, so I'm sorry I don't have more to report.

Well, I knew Faces would kill the competition. But damn, I thought Cavs would make it to finals at LEAST!

Oh well, just remember guys there's always Edgewood! And that one I'll be there in PERSON rooting for you!
