actually chris, sandy chapman (anne's mom) was working with you guys today! I LOVE SANDY!!!!! she's hilarious. i absolutely adore her!

Sandy is amazing.

She was my solo contest judge my freshman year. She was the one who first told me I should find a voice teacher so I could "refine that gold mine of a voice I have". lol

She's great.

I was asked too, but.. i got sick today, and now, no voice... so I had to drop out. I think my friend Catie Bixby is competing...

PS.. i want to meet you, cause i see you post all the time, and have had the urge to meet you.

I believe I will be riding up with Anne Chapman to attend this competition. She'll be judging. It should be fun!!!!!
woo goo!

Ben

She came in today during our class hour to work with us. I was sick, so i didn't get to meet her. Hopefully her helping us scores us some points, as long as we do what she work with us on. Haha.

I can't wait to see show choir in Nebraska. It should be fun, but I also can't wait to meet with Dr. Eklund! I met him at Linn-Mar, and we are going to meet up at the comp to talk about me going to Nebraska next year, a fitting place to meet with him... eh? Lol.
Rock on!

I am in Big Red Singers, the group that hosts the event! We are really excited for it this year! If you have any questions feel free to message me! And for the person who asked who the new director/choreographer is for Grand Island Ultimate Image, it's Mrs. Joanna Usher. She taught at a middle school in GI and is now at Senior High. She is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. The new choreographer is Chad Alexander. I know that they have had a tough time adjusting to the changes this year. Also Grand Island Northwest High School "14 Karat Gold" will be there as well. We are excited to have Ankeny attend this year! Have a safe drive and look for a girl named Tia!!

I think that this will be a battle between Westside and Ankeny, definetly closer than any of the previous Midwest-Cups. That's as far as im going to go with predictions and such.

The early ankeny in open class is PM, the usual "prep" choir. So i think that they will be able to pull off getting into finals. No pappio. bummer, i liked their show the past few years. Oh well there it is. I'll save my predictions for after this weekend.

Millard West "West in the Groove" is going. But... it's not going to be pretty for us. We're kind of horrible this year, due to all of the disorganization in our choir program caused by our director change. So, if you happen to see us perform, cheer for us a little... we're trying our best but things just aren't working out for us this year.

I'm more than sure that you guys will do awesome!! we (as in past members of VA) know what its like to get a director change and having everything just be changed. So we've gone through that (again them..im so young. or their just old..?)

I do agree though its all about the fun, and being there becasue you have a passion for being on that stage.

So dont worry! You guys will do AWESOMELY!!

" border="0" alt="happy.gif" /> And of course if we see you we'll cheer for ya!

I just e-mailed the director for big red singers to ask for a schedule so that those of us who are going to watch can plan schedules etc. will get back with the response shortly.
