So I just found out that we (West in the Groove) are not competing at Midwest Cup. But we will be going to perform, but just to get the experience and the critique. I'm kinda sad, but I think it was a good decision not to compete, considering the fact that we're not doing our girls or guys song (since we just got the choreography last friday because one of our choreographers bailed on us) and we don't have our costume change in yet, and... our show is pretty much a mess. But I don't even care how badly we do, I'm just frickin' excited to get back on the stage and perform! We perform pretty early in the day and we're leaving soon after so I probably won't get to see many other groups which sucks. But good luck to everyone who's competing!!
I"m glad that you're still staying positive! I'm sad you won't be competing, but I'm excited to see you perform! I always enjoy your shows (one of my fav. songs WIG did was Stud and Babe, it was hilarious!) Keep up that optimism!

i wish prep groups could make finals. if they could i think CR Washington "Celebration" would make finals in that open spot. Ankeny's prep is in open class, while Celebration decided to stick with the prep class, not knowing prep groups can't make finals!

Yeah it does open up another slot, so I am going to leave it a toss up. You are free to put in whoever you want in the final spot.
So you can fill it with, Lincoln Lutheran, Lincoln Southwest, Omaha North, Seward, and Pius X.
I can't wait to spend my day in the Lied Center watching show choirs. If you see me, holla, or I will be on tech for the BRS performance, so I will be onstage.
