Why doesn't FAME do finals? I always like seeing groups twice, especially when they're groups that I hardly ever get to see live.

If you can make it to the Sound Check on Friday, you will see almost every-one twice!!

All the other FAME events previous to this one is considered the prelim performance. While this event serves as the finals.

There are still seats left for the first day of competition! Friday evening is when the Single-Gender competition will take place.

If you can't make it though, the LIVE feed is free this year!
Going to be a phenomenal weekend of performances! Good luck to all groups competing!

To tack onto the comments about Evolution, I just watched an updated recording (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYErY3-1siE) and I have to say—their vocals are incredibly crisp and well-balanced, and they've got some great choreo and a strong story show to round it out. Wow. If they sing like that next weekend, I wouldn't hesitate to put them in the top 3. They came outta nowhere in the last few years; it's really great to see some non-Midwest and non-California groups rise to the top.

Patrick's seating room only comment refers to "performance only seats" which Beth referenced indirectly.

Per the FAME website...

QUOTE

The MIXED DIVISION seats are now sold out. However, we will be able to sell PERFORMANCE ONLY seats at the event on Saturday, April 25.

Performance only seats operate as follows:
1. Purchase a "timed" ticket at the event for a 2 hour block.
2. At the appointed time on your ticket, a group is leaving their seats for the dressing room and warm up (approximately one hour prior to their performance.
3. You'll be escorted into the theatre for a 2 hour time block occupying the seats the group vacated.
4. Once that group returns, you'll be escorted out of the theatre.

Ticket price is $50. The timed tickets are good for a 2-hour time block.

So after watching ALA "Evolution" online...I am changing my prediction. They will definitely place top 5. Absolutely amazing.

YES! I've been wondering if people just haven't seen their show or if they just haven't thought about them since they've only competed the once but I loved their show after watching it online, and they have definitely been flying under the radar on these predictions, definitely excited to see them this weekend!!

TOP 10 (In my opinion - It is ridiculously hard to predict events such as this, but why not give it a shot?)
GC: Los Al
1 RU: Loveland (Jarad and Tori )
2RU: Marysville
3RU: Prairie
4RU Jenks
5RU: Oak Grove
6RU: Westside
7RU: Brea Olinda

Does anyone know if Adam and Alex will be doing their SCL interviews and tidbits for the livestream this year like they did for Nationals last year or no?

Not really sure if you meant this in a rude way, or if it simply came off like that. She took Horizion to FAME Hollywood in 2013 and received 2RU, losing to John Burroughs and Danville, two VERY good groups. Either way, Katie Kouns is a dignified director with many years of education, adjudication, and a GRAMMY nomination under her belt.

Eh, Grammy? No big deal. I have a few of those.
