I just typed in "carly smithson let me fall" into YouTube and I found a bunch of legit ones. Try that particular search term.

This must be the same universe in which michael jackson, farrah faucet, and tupac aren't really dead. They're just on an island somewhere chillaxing.

The show was really enjoyable and the set pieces definitely complimented the "express" theme.

Thanks!! We are very proud of the kids and the effort they put forth at every competition. They are, as the bio says, proud ambassadors for the Fairfield School Disctrict.

The set is a real joy to work with and we hope it adds to the performance and in no way detracts from the kids.

I want to echo one of the last comments. The kids from all the groups seemed to really get along. I only heard of one conflict and that was not until today. My daughter, who performs in Rhythm went on to tell me how approachable the high School kids in Powerhouse were. I have no idea on names, but the tall performer for Powerhouse who stayed in costume for awards, took the time to talk to some of the Rhythm kids in the cafeteria. For these younger Middle School kids, this is a big deal. Thanks for taking the time and making the effort!!

What did you think of our Middle School group Rhythm Express?

You guys were hands down the best middle school group I have EVEr had the pleasure of seeing. You looked more like a small mixed division group actually, and not a group of middle schoolers. Great performance, most definately.

What a great weekend!

This was my first experience seeing both John Burroughs and Clinton live...I came all the way from Iowa because it was too good to pass up!

I thought both choirs were fantastic, and although I pinned Powerhouse as the winner, I think Clinton was just as deserving.

I'd also like to note my favorite part of the day/night. I was sitting in the cafeteria with Cameron and we looked over and saw some Clinton ladies hanging out. Then a group of John Burroughs members came and just sat down and started talking. It was really eye-opening. Like Haakon said, at the end of the day it's show choir. Just a group of kids working hard to put on the best performance they can. That was probably the most rewarding experience I took home this weekend.

I'm almost positive it is Mitch Finke designing the show, as I know of the same show being produced up here in the Cleveland Area (Walsh Jesuit) with the same exact numbers.

Did Lebanon design their show or did their choreographer? I saw the same show at a competition here in Minnesota a few weeks ago.

Their choreographer, as far as i know. You'd have to ask them, though.

I was at the competition Saturday and can I just say that I was completely blown away. I absolutley loved John Burroughs, Clinton was amazing as usual, and Center Grove came up and completely suprised me. When it came to placement, I have to agree with the comment "it came down to judges preferences", idk who said it. Keep in mind I am not saying that one choir was better than the other and deserved to win, I had the top three in a toss up with just a few points seperating them all. I think if the judge likes really classic show choir they are going to lean slighty towards Clinton and Center Grove, but if they like the more artistic choirs they would lean slightly towards John Burroughs, not like by 10 points or anything just by like 2 pts or even a .5 pt. Personally I was absolutely blown away by JB. I was in awe of you all!!!! Absolutely fantastic!!!! I saw Clinton 3 years ago when they competed here and was not impressed with the vocal aspect, however this year they proved me wrong. Wow!!! Their vocal power was crazy!!!! I loved it!!! Center Grove, your ballad was phenomenal!!!!! Absolutley beautiful!!!! Also, the boys number definitely not the typical boys geek number I loved it!!!! Your show was also amazing!!! Congratulations to Clinton and all competing choirs on having great performances!!!! Truly and Epic competition

What an entertaining drive! My hotel room/floor was full of putrid smoke at 3AM this morning, so I got an early start on the drive back. I made it to Crawfordsville before I needed a rest.

I'm not gonna lie, I really enjoyed Burroughs' set this year. I believe that it flows better and uses an interesting concept that I've never seen before. I agree with the people who believe that PH's day show was not quite "ripe", however they stepped it up very well at night. Their show was so different that when it finished, I had no idea what to do. Actually, the Arena was silent for about ten seconds and then people started to cheer. It took me a few minutes to realize what I had just witnessed and I was breathless. Jen Oundjian did a fantastic job utilizing pop songs to bring to story of Alice in Wonderland to life. I would almost liken it to an ALW rock opera, where the arrangements are what create tension and resolution while the wonderful backdrop (SCOTT!!!) accentuated the storyline.

I agreed with most of the finals placements, I would have flipped EEE and LC.

It's written in MY universe, Haakon.

They're an institution. Much like Carmel, Lafayette Jefferson, Mt Zion. PowerHouse can get there eventually.

First of all, I think there are plenty of people in the midwest who love Burroughs, but that's beside the point. Clinton isn't "supposed" to lose? In what universe is that written? They're a show choir just like anyone else and certainly aren't unstoppable. They had a great run in the midwest for several years, and justly earned some acclaim.

What did you think of our Middle School group Rhythm Express?

I knew I had forgotten to comment on something.

I thought "Rhythm Express" was absolutely delightful... one of the best middle school show choirs I've ever seen. The show was really enjoyable and the set pieces definitely complimented the "express" theme. I could tell that there were some nerves going on, but with such a large crowd, that was to be expected. Besides the age of the performers, they easily could have been mistaken for one of the smaller high school mixed groups. They should all be very proud!

Just curious and would not mind some feedback with so many SCC memers in attendance. . .

What did you think of our Middle School group Rhythm Express? This is the biggest crowd they get to perform in front of each year and with the addition of the live feed, just that many more potential critics.

On another note. Loved hosting so many wonderful kids and families. You could not, in my opinion, go to a football or basketball event with that level of competition and get the same level of sportsmanship. I saw nothing but respect from all choirs and wish everyone the best of luck in the remainder of their season. Except for those we still need to compete against, of course
