I agree it is random. We go last tommorrow so we will probably be first for finals order with our luck.

It is "random" order.

im really excited to see all the groups at this competition! its gonna be SWEET!

so does anyone know how finals order is decided? is it a random drawing or is it selected depending on how the groups place at daytimes? because if, like someone said, Nevada was ahead of Mt Zion during daytimes at another competition, i definately want to be able to see them (they go right before us in daytimes so it'd be impossible to see them then)

In the past finals order has been a random drawing from what I have heard

We went to Onalaska, Wisconsin and then Omaha. Nothing too far. There are lots of groups who travel from other states to Iowa so typically we don't have to go very far to see gropus from other states. Xavier likes to have our first competition away and end the season away.

Sounds like fun. That is what we did this yr. We started in Iowa and will end in Colorado.

This is actually our middle competition. So did Xavier go on any large trips this yr? We go to Colorado in April.

Thanks for the schedule. Nevada is a Missouri group, correct?

Yes, they are from Missouri. Green Ridge is from Missouri as well.

Nevada has attended Rock Bridge, Pleasant Hill, Troy, Carthage, and Harrisonville competitions. The bigger and more well known competitions are Rock Brigde, Pleasant Hill, and Troy. I am definitely looking forward to the results of this competition. I've heard a lot about Xaviers show, seen GISH show, and love the Papio kids!! Good luck to all the groups!!!

Sorry- worded wrong. I was saying that i think that the idea that the judges may not like xavier's style isn't likely, because Davenport West and Lacrosse Central both have been grand champs in the past... they definately deserved it.

I thought it maybe just was worded-wrongly.

Well, as mentioned above, i suppose anything can happen... but Viking Cup has always been accomodating to outside groups in the past (Davenport West, Lacrosse Central, both past GC winners) and so i'm thinking Xavier has a good shot at GC. i'm fine with that- as long as i get to see them in finals, but I have a bad feeling that i won't have the chance. Regardless of whether or not we're in the top three or not, it's still gonna rock

I feel that saying the "Viking Cup" is "accommodating to outside groups" isn't very fair. Both Davenport West (2006 GC) and La Crosse Central (2007 GC) won the competition with the great caliber of show they brought. They just happened to be from a state other than Nebraska.
