Based on what I've seen this year, I'm giving my opinion.

GC: Carmel (Best visual)
1ru: Franklin Central
2ru: Warren Central (Best vocal)
3ru: North Central
4ru: Pike
5ru: DeKalb
6ru: Huntington North
7ru: Lawrence Central
8ru: Lawrence North
9ru: Ben Davis

The only choirs I haven't seen are Carmel and Lawrence North.

HOWEVER, this is still REALLY early in the year. Choirs can change. Get better. Or even get worse. So who knows. This is just an early prediction based on what I've seen in the last two weeks.

dekalb is in the smaller division along with plainfield, mooresville, and...anyone know who else is in the smaller class. also, only 9 finalists for each class this year :]

I really hope that the class size is just a trial. Plainfield and DeKalb both could compete with the large class and do well.

My predictions are:

GC: Pike
1RU: Franklin Central
2RU: North Central
3RU: Lawrence Central
4RU: Ben Davis
5RU: Warren Central
6RU: Huntington North
7RU: Lawrence North
8RU: Castle

As for small schools, I wish I knew more schools that were going but I think that after how well DeKalb did at Ben Davis, they definitely have a great chance at state.
If Plainfield steps it up a bit, I think they also could have a chance at getting GC.

Since the split (which i just found out about) I'm changing my predicions. Again. ha

GC: FC (Visual)
1RU: WC (Vocal)
2RU: NC
3RU: Pike
4RU: LC
5RU: Huntington North
6RU: LN
7RU: BD
8RU: Castle

This is the last time. Promise.

Edgewood would be in small school as well. But I doubt we go up and compete at State. I am not sure why we don't go, but we haven't yet and we have qualified the last few years.

Dekalb, Plainfield, Norwell, SouthWestern... just a few that come to mind
Not really sure who's considered "small school" because usually in Indiana it would be by choir size, not school size...

Unfortunately, it isn't the size of the choir or if the school has been a qualifier in the state finals before that determines the split. Its purely from the BAND classification listing of school size. A is large, B and below is small. I think this is a trial this year with fine tuning to come later. We, at New Haven, hope to be in the mix at the state. We'll find out March 15.

Dekalb, Highland, and Plainfield are going to dominate the small division IMO. Norwell will also be up there.

It usually has been 12, but I suppose since the split of school sizing, ISSMA is only allowing 9 per class.

predictions:
GC: Franklin Central
1ru: Pike
2ru: North Central
3ru: Warren Central
4ru: Lawrence Central
5ru: Huntington North
6ru: Ben Davis
7ru: Lawrence North
8ru: Castle

I'd hope that NC kicks up their game because now, Carmel isn't in their way anymore. (of course, it seems like everyone and their moms are stepping it up this year. including us Sensations from Castle)

I'd say your predictions look good to me! This is the first year i haven't felt like a biased jerk for placing FC really high or GC at this competition. They have really got what it takes this year and if they keep progressing, there's not going to be any stopping them.

The Castle Knight Sensations are really hoping to grab a spot in ISSMA state. Castle is considered a big school, so we will only qualify in the Large State Comp.

i agree. castle is usually a great competitor. i think you will get a spot.

i love how you call ME out for correcting you because i like pike when the person below me corrected you as well and you say nothing to them. now THAT is rude.

and as for my predictions...i didnt want to change them until i knew more about who i thought would be in the two spots vacated by plainfield and dekalb

I called you out because of your tone, and because you have been rude to anyone who has said anything negative about pike since the beginning of the season

Thank you... As you'll see, i had edited my post before you sent this... You might want to go change YOUR predictions now as well, considering you had plainfield and dekalb on as well. Rude.... Just because i don't think pike is all that...
