Well, I did not add them to the event becuase I was under the impression that South no longer planned to attend becuase of a prior engagement with Jones County Junior College, Jones OnStage, and Belmont's performing group at JCJC's Performing Arts Center. I work in Carey's Adminsitrative office for Music, (the competition is at WCU's Winter's School of Music) at that's what I heard, they may be planning to attend both venues, but that's really not feasible looking at the times. Correct me please, if I'm mistaken.

You do know that Belmont's performance choir is also named "Company", right? If not, that could be where all this confusion is coming from.

Otherwise:

What prior engagement could there be? I'm pretty closely involved with SJ, and have no clue what JCJC, On-Stage, Belmont's "Company", and South Jones "Company" have in common for this weekend...

As of this moment, South Jones will be competing at West Jones this weekend.

..I don't need an overly cocky response.

Tony, when every comment you put out there seems overly cocky too, or seems to attack someone, you can only expect responses from others to be in the same manner.

And, I'd say if you're going to post a schedule for someone else's competition, you not make decisions such as removing groups from the schedule without consent from either the host group or the group being discussed. I wouldn't warrant meer workplace water-cooler gossip as a valid reason for doing such a thing.

Just my opinion. Take it, or leave it.

But I have everthing to do with. I am the Associate Director and Snyth Player for my Alma Matter. So I'm still well into the show choir circut. Anything else?

look.. i think this whole arguement should just be dropped.. and yes you do have freedom of speech, as ghsensations says, but everytime you post something it is negative and rude... come on there really is no need for that. people get on SCC to talk about comps and other show choir stuff.. not just to argue over stupidity. and i am really not trying to sound mean i just hate how it seems as if you always try to start an fight with everyone... PLEASE lets all be mature..

Why is it that every time someone says something that you disagree with, you attack their personal character? You are attacking me just like you attacked "Ashley" during her posts after the Picayune competition. Also, if you are affiliated with the William Carey School of Music, that means that you are in college. Why are you posting on a web site and "arguing" with high school students that you have nothing to do with anymore?

If you had an ounce of common sense, you would know that the Venue of an event has alot to do with cordination of a competition. There are several measures that we are taking to make sure the competion runs smoothly per the venue's behalf. If these measures were not taken, I'm sure that your competition would have a few issues. Your pointless posts really disgust me. My affiliation with Carey's School of Music was simply validity for South not being on the competition schedule. I actually asked for clarity of the claim of them not being there becuase I'm uncertain. So here's my advice. Answer the question, verify thier appearance or not. And give me a break, please.

In your reply to "dancer", you say "your competition".. He/She is not affiliated with our group nor our competition. However, though William Carey has been a big help in giving us the venue and a nice facility to host a competition, the School of Music has absoluely nothing to do with the groups attending the competition. That is entirely on the director of west's shoulder's. I do not view his/her posts as pointless, his/her point was valid. This person was not at all insulting your intelligence, so don't insult their's.
So here's my advice to you:
Make post related to the subject, not someone's common sense. If someone's post disgusts you, don't reply.

Anyway, unless something has changed in the last 24 hours, South Jones Company is coming. I know because I get to be their host!

My post are indeed relevant. I don't need an overly cocky response. Thanks for clearing up an area of confusion reguarding South Jones.

Secondly, when posts belittle anything that I'm directly associated with, I will reply. And of course the School of Music has nothing to do with the groups that attend. That was never an issue. The previous post felt that she/he would make it known that Carey had no affiliation when I asked a simple question about South's presence at the competition. Read the post, and see how I clearly stated that I had no clue. I prefaced by saying that I heard a rumor of South not coming becasue Carey is the Venue. I apppolgize for affending anyone. Clearly our points of view contrast, but I understand your point of view.
