Well I have seen Enterprise and they are great. Their choreography doesn't compare to Pasc. It is much harder and very clean....and they sing tremendously. John Baker is an awesome vocal director.
I think Enterprise has a new life with their choreo this year. Long Beach used to beat them in competitions and used to represent the A class very well.. NOONE has come up to that level yet.

Do you mean no one has come up to the level that long beach used to be?

i have seen both enterprise and pascagoula. they both have great shows. they're clean, good vocals, and have good facials and all that good stuff. enterprise took everything at petals competition this year and at our competition (south jones invtitational) pascagoula won their division and came close to beating petal. if petal and pascagoula hadnt shared best vocals...i think impact couldve beaten them. it was really close and exciting...impact always has had good enery, vocals, choreography ever since i first saw them 2 years ago...they are great. if both make it to finals...pascagoula will be tough.

my predictions...

clinton
petal
south jones
enterprise
pascagoula

havent seen spain park, know they are always tough and have great vocals, heard tupelo should be good and opelika especially...im just going by what i have seen and the reputations of these groups. anything can happen.

One of our choir teachers told me today she was judging this competition (Ms. Mahlen). Getting to go down to Alabama from Minnesota is great, but to get to see this lineup is nuts.

(We just got out of our streak of 18 straight days where the temperature never got above 0)

Due to the high level of competition that Homewood will be hosting this year, I think it's only appropriate to rename to the competition this year from SCC (South Central Classic) to the SSB (Southern Super Bowl)? What do you think?

sounds like a plan to me...i like it...

Clinton HS (MS) "Attache"
South Jones HS (MS) "Company"
Petal HS (MS) "Soundsations"
Enterprise HS (AL) "Encores"
Spain Park HS (AL) "Park Singers

It seems to me that people are forgetting about Enterprise. For anyone to put a single A group ahead of them is crazy. The only groups that I know can beat Enterprise are Clinton, South Jones, and Petal. The others can't beat Enterprise and therefore don't have a chance at beating South, Clinton, or Petal. I do though feel that all the groups have improved this year.

Yes I saw Enterprise and I agree they are going to be very difficult to beat, but come on... have ya seen Pascagoula. I'm almost 100% positive that they, along with Spain Park(whom are both in the A division) could easily give them a run for their money. Now i said that, but i have also not seen Spain Park this year yet, I am just predicting by what I saw last year.

Actually, a couple of A groups have beat Enterprise in the past few years, so it is possible (although I haven't seen their show this year). Also, the winner of the A division is guaranteed a spot in the finals at Homewood, so putting an A group in finals predictions isn't that absurd.

ok... ::sigh:: I CAN"T WAIT ANYMORE!!! I keep making predictions on my sheet that has the line up for this weekend on it, but I have changed my mind so many times it's freakin crazy. It is by far the most freakin amazing, phenominal, exciting, incredibly best compitition i will ever go to. WOW!!! I just can't wait anymore. I'm thinking of leavin now and just pitchin a tent in Homewood's parkin lot so I will be sure to get the best seat in the auditorium
