Here's my point of view:

Pascagoula: I love yall's show... Congrats on being the Jones County Champs for the first time... Ha...

Jackson Academy: I'm so proud of you guys for getting 1st RU in the A Division... Yall beat a very good NE Jones group, and I wish you guys (as well as us) would have made finals...

NE Jones: Something felt different from when I saw you guys at Picayune... It was still a nice show, but I felt like the vocals were way off in some places and that there was less energy than 2 weeks ago... You guys still did a great job though...

Enterprise: Didn't see you, but I'm sure you guys were fantastic like last week...

Spain Park: Although this is by far the best Spain Park ever, I still think 1st RU was a little high... I felt like the opener (Which was my favorite opener of the day by the way) and the Commercial Medley made the show, and everything else was so so... I also noticed a lot of choreography that has been used before... I saw some Clinton 06 and some Homewood 07, and April James didn't do SP's choreography... Congrats on beating 3 outstanding groups in Finals though...

South Jones: Oh my goodness... How did they get 4th RU? I thought they were at least the 3rd best group there... The vocals were outstanding, and I loved the whole show... The soloist in Welcome to the Jungle was fantastic and put on a great show...

Clinton: They danced perfectly (Duh) and sang wonderfully for a bad environment... However, I think that this is one of the worst Clintons since the streak began, and that is not the kids' fault... Yeah they are still one of the top 5 groups in the nation, but I felt like the show was missing things that Clinton usually has... Now I know David Fehr is probably the greatest mind in the history of show choir, but I'm not sure about this show... It wasn't flashy like past Clinton shows... I liked the opener and the Ballad sounded wonderful, but it just didn't feel like Clinton... They still did a fantastic job, and congrats on winning...

If I would have been a judge, it would have gone like this:
Clinton
South Jones
Enterprise
Spain Park
Pascagoula

But obviously I am not a judge so who cares what I think... Speaking of the judges, I thought that they did a very good job this weekend...

im not much of one to reply to this crap, but i will say Michael Zauchin and Laura Murphey are fantastic choreographers. also, there isnt much you can do with choreography in show choir show. moves are bound to look the same. and if it does look similar, that should be a sign of flattery. as i can recall from last year, a certain group stole several moves from our show, but we've put that in the past. thank you for your compliments.

Actually, the point spread between Clinton and South Jones in pre-lims was 18.3333 points, not 3.

i wasn't too sure on the whole commercial thing as a show choir song from spain park. i liked it alot, and it was extremely entertaining and a crowd pleaser but not too choral.

I agree... I also thought they carried it on too long... I stopped being entertained after the Oscar Meyer part...

that was a very close competiton. after talking to members of other groups the scores were REALLY close compared to other competitions. great job everyone. i wasn't too sure on the whole commercial thing as a show choir song from spain park. i liked it alot, and it was extremely entertaining and a crowd pleaser but not too choral. keep up the great work cause its obviously paying off. clinton was perfect choreographically of corse. and i look forward to seeing some more from groups that didn't make it to finals. job well done everyone and congrats to those who placed!

I know that in prelims the 1st place group (Clinton) and the 5th place group (South Jones) were separated by 3 points... I'm apart of the 6th place group, and Clinton beat us by 11 and South Jones beat us by 8...

wow, it was THAT close?

i went to homewood last night and it was so entertaining! sometimes its just fun to sit, watch, and relax, and not have to worry about being somewhere at a certain time looking a certain way!! but i thought all the choirs did great!!! and WAY TO GO SPAIN PARK!! your show was so entertaining!!!

I have to agree, the competition had a completely different feel/vibe when all I had to do was sit back and watch everyone. LIke I said before, every show that I saw was absolutely amazing! I think that every award that was given out, prelims and finals, was very well-deserved!!

i think i was most impressed with pascagoula out of everybody. their show was definitely the most entertaining and kept me on my seat..instead of waiting for it to kick up. spain park was also extremely entertaining as well, so im glad they got 1 ru. i was disappointed with clintons show to be quite honest..i mean, dont get me wrong, vocals and choreography were more than amazing, but it wasn't as high energy as last year's, but they definitely deserved to win.

It's hard to answer that question as the auditorium at Homewood just does not carry sound well, say in comparison to the one at Opelika, so it's hard to give you an answer. I started to say that in my opinion they have been much better in the past, but after stopping to think about it, it's really not fair to say that based on what you hear in that auditorium. I know it's not one of my favorite shows that they have ever done though.
