$13 for all day is cheaper then a lot of the ones i've gone to this year!
And remember... this is also a fundraising even for the schools and their show choir. So a few extra bucks out of your pocket is going toward a great cause.

~Gouging patrons who want to attend only finals. Nice.
~Assume away!

Is there a set amount of time between the last day show and the start of finals? Meaning, if the day shows run late, will finals start later?
How far in advance will the doors open for finals seating?
Will finals be in the gym or the auditorium?

I suppose that depends on how you look at it....saving those who choose to buy an all day pass some money and not gouging patrons if their choir ends up in finals and they only bought a day pass. Your tone seems quite negative, is that just directed at Carroll or are you always that cynical?

To answer your last question, all finals will be in the new field house, which is also the venue for the mixed competition all day...as for your other questions, I'd be glad to find out and get back to you.

~Having said that, the $13 ticket price is for the whole day, we are not going to do the 2 different price thing.
~Women's final starts @ 7:00 and the finalists are scheduled every 25 minutes which means, assuming everything is running on time, the mixed finals will begin @ 8:15.

When are finals scheduled to begin? (I say "scheduled" but we all know it's not going to start at that time.)
How much are tickets to finals?
Are mixed and ladies finals held in the same place?
Are there finals for solo competition? (I hope not, considering how long the day is anyway.)

Since 2005 when I started as a show choir parent this event has run on time +/- 5 minutes here or there....we strive to keep it moving and on time since it is such a long day and many of the choirs have a long way to travel home. Having said that, the $13 ticket price is for the whole day, we are not going to do the 2 different price thing. No, there will not be finals for solo comp since we are having a women's final this year. Women's final starts @ 7:00 and the finalists are scheduled every 25 minutes which means, assuming everything is running on time, the mixed finals will begin @ 8:15. I hope that helps with all of your questions and best of luck to Norwell...we look forward to welcoming Carla back!!!

Probably one of the biggest comps this year its gonna be hard to make predictions:
GC: Zionsville
1st ru: Franklin Central
2nd ru: Dekalb
3rd ru: Carmel
4th ru: Norwell/Huntington

A spot in finals at this event is gonna be a fight and a half

Girls:
GC: Carmel
1st ru: Norwell
2nd ru: Zionsville

I was at homestead this weekend and the finals there were Carmel vs Huntington vs Norwell, it ended up with GC: Carmel, 1st ru: Huntington, 2nd ru: Norwell, but props to Norwell for being a small mixed and winning best choreo against them, but its really anyones ball game, whoever brings it this week will make it into the finals

I would probably flip Franklin Central and Zionsville due to this weekend's results.

There are probably 6 or 7 that could be Grand Champion out of this lineup...I wouldn't want to be a Judge there! I saw Homestead at DeKalb, they were quite amazing! Sadly, only 5 will make it into finals for the Mix...3 for the Women's groups!

Homestead is really good this year I hope they suprise everyone! I am looking forward to this comp.

Now having seen a lot of these groups, and a LOT more results, I'm making new predictions. Final answer lol

GC: Zionsville
1RU: Franklin Central
2RU: Carmel
3RU: Dekalb
4RU: Huntington North/ Norwell
5RU: Norwell/ Huntington North

Vocals: Zionsville
Choreography: Franklin Central
Combo: Zionsville

Seriously guys... Zionsville is Uh Mazing this year. Show design is a BIT boring I suppose, very Huntington North 2005 ish, but they are vocally untouchable this year "Moon River" was conducted for their ballad and I almost lost my mind a couple of times out of sheer amazement. FC's show is far better than zionsville's in my opinion though, So i think if they were to manage to get within a couple of points of Zionsville vocally, they could pull it out with a choreo win.

I desperately hope that I'm wrong, and that HN will show up and beat the pants off of all these other groups

I love you Huntington North....

Bishop Dwenger swept the Small Mixed at Ben Davis last week. They should have made the night show, but did not. I would not count them out.

Lafayette Jeff doesn't even have their closer finished yet. They may not be what we all expect this year, they have a new director

My junior year our prep group got a new closer 2 weeks before their first competition. The night before the competition they literally could not run through the closer without stopping... it was a MESS. But they went out on stage and killed it and made finals over a ton of varsity groups! Just goes to show you that time doesn't matter when you work hard and perform your butt off! And we all know LJ knows how to perform

And Zionsville just beat Lawrence Central and got vocals off them. They should do well here too. It's gonna be a CLOSE competition Wish I could come.
