Hey guys,
Would any Totino "Company" kids care to enlighten me on who is planning on going to this comp? I'd rather not go by myself, but I will, if only to see the amazingness of the groups coming

I love Waubonsie Valley's show, and I think they'll take this one, but it will be CLOSE, let me tell you.

Katy

Along with Altoona, Mayville also competed in Class A at Waconia last year. However, they aren't returning this year.

Thanks Aaron!

I do understand that they are eligible for Class A, I just think considering how strong they are this year, as well as how well they have done in Open class competition already this season, that it's surprising to see them in the smaller class.

See you Saturday!

I don't understand why they're in Class A, when they compete in AA and do well so often. I think they are the only "varsity" group in Class A at Waconia.

Class A is comprised of small schools (9-12 populations 600 and under) as well as prep and girls groups. Altoona's population is around 400. Someone correct me if I am wrong. When they registered there were a few other Class A Varsity groups that have since dropped for one reason or another. They, of course, have the option of moving up to the open class if they wish to but they are perfectly within their right to stay where they are. Mr. Moses is considering his options and may decide to move up and I would allow him to do so if he chooses. It is a tough choice and people will second guess whichever way they choose. I am sure that he will make the best choice for his program and hopefully people will respect that choice. They are the returning champions from last year in Class A.

For the record Rice High School is another Class A varsity group, however this will be their first competition ever. I am sure they are terrified so let's get up early and support this new group.

Hope that answers your question Ana

Hey my name is Mary. I'll be hosting Waubonsie Valley Sound Check for the Star Power competition in Waconia, MN. Let me know if you guys need anything!
for your room.... favorite snack? school colors? would mirrors be helpful?
I heard about your guys' success at Milton!! I'm really excited to see your show!

Well...
Waubonsie Valley's colors are green and gold! I'm sure the girls would love mirrors if its not too much of a hassle and any kind of food would be great were not picky thanks for asking!

"Down Together"
"This Is Who I Am"
"Operation Spirit"
"Me and My Gang"

Their choreography is AMAZING... but their vocals are very soft, nasally, and really quite non-existent. They were third at Onalaska, but did NOT make finals at the Omaha Westside competition three weeks later.

Don't count them out though... because if they pump up the vocals... they could place very high.

Thats strange to me... Third at Onalaska, no finals at Omaha? wow, times have changed.

Well, I don't know whats going to happen but I see Waubonsie taking GC, them or Bemidji. IC West already beat us at Johnston. Not saying we couldn't rise above but ya. Anybody know anything about mitchell's show? I don't think I've ever seen them before.
