I talked to some Mitchell folks after the competition at Omaha and it was some band issues that I am sure they fixed by now. Yes, I agree with Jorge. Mitchell has always had "tight/crisp/clean" choreo and the vocals were always on the weaker side; but with a new teacher this year the kids are bound and determined to climb that hill from Omaha... and I know they will.
From what I remembered being told they were one or two points away from getting best choreo & band at onalaska. Or maybe I heard wrong, I don't know.
Whatever the case I can't wait to see the results and see all the shows on a DVD sometime!
Yay! I can't wait for Waconia! I'm excited to see all the groups in both Class A and Open Class! It's so much fun to watch everyone and see so many different shows and so many talented groups! I love it! La Voce Ballo and Vocalmotive will be there! I can't wait to see everybody perform!
Only a few days away! I cant wait to bring my kids from both La Voce Ballo and Vocalmotive from Bemidji here. As a director/choreographer its always exciting when your groups compete against GREAT groups- it challenges them more, and the line up thus far looks like its going to be a touch competition in both class a and open class. Its going to be a great. I also cant wait to see Jefferson Connection, they are without a doubt one of my all time favorite groups. Also, I am very pumped that Mitchel is coming, its been years (since i was in vocalmotive-way back..haha) that i have seen them. They have a new director who I met at Show choir camps of america as a camper in 2000, and she is doing a great job thus far! GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE! Thanks in advance to everyone at WACONIA for doing all you have done and will do to make this a great competition! See you all on Saturday!
