I just noticed Pure Elegance from Fairfield isn't on the set list. Are they not going?
Pure Elegance was 2nd Runner up in Orlando and not one of the automatic qualifiers. They will not be competing in Chicago. Still a great season for a fantastic group of young ladies!

Well now that post has been removed from their Facebook page. A parents meeting was being held tonight (Wed), so maybe it was decided not to go. A real shame if that's the case...
The verdict was for. Both Sound FX and Soundtrax are for sure attending.
The Orlando competitions were definitely stacked... I know for a fact that Jackson Prep is attending nationals! (From several members and what not) And from what I could understand is that it is a "wild card" spot! I guess it's just like a judges choice but I am not exactly sure how it is done.... I am happy for the students of Prep though they have worked hard this year and have a really cool show (with some quality soloists)! Anyway good luck to them! I'm sorry I'm not much help on clarification everyone I have talked to have just said "a wild card spot" (not from students or affiliated people's of prep) so I guess that's supposed to be self explanatory...

What is this "wildcard" business? I'm assuming that's referring to Jackson Prep Reveillon, which is on the qualifying list now...
And I just realized, Voices of Central (Keller, TX) are on there too.

I think it's safe to say FAME changed up their format this year. Previously, the top three mixed groups at each qualifier received a bid to the National Finals. If one of those three groups declined attending the National Finals, then FAME would only offer the fourth place group and none of the others. Obviously they must have switched something up since Keller Central and Jackson Prep are attending. And I don't know. FAME has an account on here and posts once in a while, so perhaps they could clarify for all of us. The Orlando qualifiers were some of the best FAME competitions this year, though, so I think those groups are definitely deserving!
Does anyone know where FAME Nationals is going to be next year?
The website doesn't have information for next year, that I could find at least, but I would assume that it will be staying in Chicago. It just kind of makes the most sense geographically.

I was actually on here to see what I had heard was true! Here is my understanding: they are in the wild card slots. It's something like you sign some papers and they judge you off of a video something like that! I'm not 100% sure if that's all there is to it... Like if placement was taken into account but that is all I know.

The Fairfield Choraliers will DEFINITELY be attending. At first the decision had been no, but the students fought to change that and we did. We're coming to leave it all on the stage!
