This was a super awesome competition! I was only there for preliminaries though. I would like to say how amazing all of the Tier II groups were! Really high-caliber tough competition there. And of course the large-mixed groups were phenomenal as well. My predictions after prelims were:
Tier II:
1st: PRC--they had amazing vocals
2nd: Greneda--amazing show ("Snow White")
3rd: West Jones--amazing choreography
But I'm also content with how the awards went--they were all definitely really close.
Large Mixed:
1st: Clinton (sweep)--simply perfection (I don't see what everyone else is saying about their vocals lacking. There was absolutely nothing lacking as far as vocals are concerned)
2nd: Albertville--the show was confusing to say the least. And shocking. And graphic. And I feel like I'm going to have nightmares the rest of my life. It definitely was performed really well, and I respect all the hard work put into their show. Another point--they didn't have a ballad, which may have been a factor in scoring.
3rd: South Jones--wow! What a great representation of southern show choir! Tight choreography and that ballad was AWESOME
4th: Oak Grove--you have awesome vocals! You performed your hearts out, and it definitely showed! Way to overcome the odds and hardships that you've faced and put on a great show!
But again, also content with how it went. South Jones really pulled it together with a great performance. I guess it was just a surprise really.

Adults don't need children speaking for them. He is an adult and so am I. If he wants to confront me about it then he can. You're not an adult. You may be of adult age, but you're not an adult. You're a spoiled little immature brat who thinks he's entitled to everything in the world. Always have been. Always will be.
And let me just say that I never ONCE said anything about Clinton this year. I haven't seen them live so I can't properly judge them. My comment above about them still winning in off years is based on past years. And I'm certainly not saying anything about South Jones. I haven't seen them live either. They have always been one of my favorite groups and I have tons of friends from South Jones that I made while living in Ellisville and Hattiesburg.
How is saying what everybody knows to be the truth running my mouth. Sorry that some people can't take it. I've been around show choir a lot longer than you little boy. And take my advice... don't EVER speak for somebody else. If Mr. Rains has something to say to me, he'll say it.
I still don't understand some of this.. I'll be the first to admit I was never in show choir, but had a brother and sister in it in years past. So I will not fully understand the whole system with the judges. To me, something just didn't seem right with results. Congrats to everyone, and I seriously am not meaning any harm by my post. Just a solid opinion.

Even when they have an off year and another group is better than them, they win. Because they are Clinton. It's unfair and it sucks. But we all know it's true.

One thing to point out, Clinton and SJ were both ahead of Albertville in vocals going into finals. For anybody that has seen videos and performances of them all, I think a lot of people outside of Albertville would contest that. I don't think it's too biased of me to say that I think their vocals are better. Anybody else have a take?

Isn't it crazy when an off year is considered first runner-up and only one of the top two captions...If I was in show choir still I would pray for an off year if that was the case lol
