The point of the overall scores was to award an overall GC to the group who scored the highest, in the case of a small mixed group scoring higher than a large.
Thanks for the results. It still seems silly to compare overall scores considering the groups are in different divisions, but I guess that's just my opinion.

Were there any captions? What about Tier II and Middle School results?

Are these the only results then? They aren't labeled as "GC", "1RU", etc so I need clarification. In addition, what is the point of having all of these different divisions if they aren't going to announce divisional awards or end up combining them anyways?

If anyone has results based on the divisions indicated on the schedule and above, that would be great so we could post them.

Women's:
GC: Center Grove
1RU: Fairfield
2RU: Pike

Large Mixed:
GC: Center Grove
1RU: Fairfield
2RU: Huntington North

All I know right now. Apparently they gave awards by overall scores (combined mixed and women)

Center Grove Sound System
Fairfield Choraliers
Huntington North Varsity Singers
Lawrence Central Central Sound
Pike Encores
Center Grove Debtones.

I can definitely see Fairfield taking this. I don't really have predications of everything but Fairfield has a rep. of always being a great choir. They can easily sweep.

No I don't, sorry, perhaps someone from Shelbyville or attending this competition might know. Shelbyville had finals in both 2012 and 2011 (and perhaps before), so I also wonder what happened to make them decide to change it.

They had them in 2010 too.

Does anyone know why there isn't finals?

This will turn out to be a very entertaining competition I'm sure. There are plenty of rematches, and groups with something to prove. And the lack of finals will make the competition all the more intense. I'd have to say the level of competition is on par with the ISSMA Large State contest.

Here are some blind predictions, based mostly on results so far this year:

GC: Fairfield "Choraliers" (BV) (BC)
1ru: Pike "Encores" (BB)
2ru: Huntington North "Varsity Singers"
3ru: Center Grove "Sound System"
4ru: Lawrence Central "Central Sound"
5ru: Bishop Luers "Minstrels"

My predictions might change slightly depending on results this weekend, but for now- this is what I'm guessing might happen.

No there is not.

Interesting! I think that's kind of cool, some competitions drag so far into the night, because people can't stay on time!

Anyways, the event has been updated!
