This will be utterly insane... I see Clinton, WV, and Buffalo Grove being shoe ins for being in finals, and likely the top three spots... The last three spots in finals will be a blood bath. Any and all choirs who make finals should be ecstatic about that. I would like to see Urby, EEE, and Mitchell make finals, but wouldn't bat an eyelash to see prospect, danville, neenah, and glenwood right there too.
There are 7 groups who have one GC already this year and 9 groups who have either gotten GC or 1RU at a competition this year. CHORAL CLASSIC IS STACKED!
You are all forgetting about Danville... They are having a solid season so far.
I saw Danville at their competition and I agree 100%. If they fix the pitch problems I heard there is no reason they shouldn't be considered for finals

I simply dont know enough about the Tier 2 and women's groups to even try to predict those.
Large-Mixed Prelims Predictions (crazy because every group has placed 2RU or higher at at least one competition this year):
1st: Clinton
2nd: Buffalo Grove
3rd: Waubonsie Valley
Personal Final Placement Predictions:
GC: Clinton (BC, BB)
1RU: Waubonsie Valley (BV)
2RU: Urbandale
3RU: Buffalo Grove
4RU: Mt. Prospect

After seeing Clinton live, I could imagine Clinton sweeping--But then again, I could see Buffalo Grove and Urbandale grabbing a caption also. I see Waubonsie, Urbandale, and Buffalo Grove as almost evenly matched, and it will be EXTREMELY close--but I think Clinton will pull out. Also, watch out for Prospect, as they've won their only competition this year and have been great the past few years! Crazy thing is--Waubonsie, Clinton, and Prospect all are coming in with perfect records for this season (Clinton currently has a 12-GC win streak).

I have seen Waubonsie's show this year and it is solid. Unfortunately, I have not been to see Clinton's show this year, but it is bound to be incredible. The battle for Grand-Champion will be sooooo tight!! Both Waubonsie and Clinton have proven themselves over the years, so I am excited to see how things pan out! As for 5RU, I may be bias with my own choir (I try not to be). The prelims performances of Neenah, Eisenhower, and Danville will have to be killer to catch that last spot in the finals (especially considering all three of them perform within the same hour and a half block). It should be a crazy competition!!! (As per usual for the WWS Choral Classic)
