They haven't been back since Winfield beat them in 2004... Not sure if that's the reason they haven't been back though.

I wasn't in the choir that year, so I can't attest to the exact reasons why we haven't been back.

But we only went two years, the almost-blizzarded-out 2003 (when I think only 6 choirs showed up), and then in 2004 (when there were some serious powerhouses there).

That's really the only time I can recall since Mrs. Edwards took over the helm in 1997 that Hurricane didn't make finals somewhere. It was a weird year. Two weeks before that, Hurricane beat like Findlay, Twinsburg, and Teays at the Cuyahoga Classic, then didn't make finals at TV (when Winfield did), and then ended up winning States a couple weeks later...

They haven't. That was when they didn't make finals. I really like how the Classic has a large WV turnout. It kind of is a battle between WV and OH. Last year the finalists included 3 groups from OH and 3 from WV.

Interesting. I don't recall them attending since about 2004.

its good to see ARTS is getting around to some well known competitions. I was very impressed with them last year, seeing as how it was thier first year competing. ARTS will be a big competitor in the festival class!
